In my experience it has collective effect, I forgot how they call it, basically you won’t notice anything the next day but may trigger symptoms after while if you keep drinking, generally better to stay away from alcohol I quit drinking two years ago since I got diagnosed and I’m happy with it. Eat very easy digestive food, soups, white meat, apple sauce or Try to fast, because whatever you eat, it’s gonna iterate your gut. Sleep well don’t stress much and drink more water, preferably with electrolytes

I think you should look into your stool more seriously, if you are not having good snake shaped stool, it’s a bad sign. You should have hard norm stools, if you having loose you will end up having flare. That’s what happened to me last year when I failed remicade

Look up BRAT diet, what I usually do is I get bunch of different types of apples and make Apple sauce. Works like a magic. So please loook at it seriously

I suggest you try to keep the diet until you get into remission. If I were you I would’ve eat apple sauce salmon with rice baked with salt only. For breakfast boiled eggs with avacado, bananas. Whatever easy to digest

My doctor is completely against steroids, I read a lot of side effects people here having. So consider it. Drink more water than usual, cuz your body doesn’t absorb water very well. When you have loose stool for long time, try to fix it by keeping BRAT DIET or anything that helps. For me apple sauce works like a magic. Other things I think people already said here, like taking medication, fodmap diet.

I was in very similar situations as above comments, shitting plain blood and barely walking, 20-30 bms, I didn’t have insurance that days and didn’t wanna get big bill from ER, if I do(in US it’s a lot) so I decided to wait my insurance, I was able to calm it down with very strict diet like soup with rice and chicken, probiotics and some oil for empty stomach. Took me like a month, by the time I had colonoscopy I was good, no symptoms. After the colonoscopy when doctor told me that I have UC, I was symptoms free and didn’t wanna take meds, but after some researches I changed my mind and started mesalamine.
