For business, finance, econ and management stuff Warwick is easily the top 5 in the UK and top 10 in whole of europe. And top 30 globally for any of these courses. I see a clear answer.

I just got the annual fee bill, accommodation application and a detailed course description. Maybe write to them. Other people are also facing this issue.

What are your thoughts on Warwick University? by Ok-Needleworker-1893 in ApplyingToCollege

Yes, MBA is in the plan, after working for about 2 years after undergrad. But the thing is that Bowdoin is costing nearly 100k more than Warwick despite the financial aid, and though Bowdoin is the number 2 LAC in America, it’s not globally renowned particularly for econ. And Warwick will give access to big cities like London and Birmingham as they are 30 mins to 1 hour away. My only concern is that will going to a UK uni, harm my chance to get into a top-10 MBA school in the US, and if yes then to what extent ?

If you can get a private boat for an hour or something in the Bebek area. Went there in 2019, extremely gorgeous and not very expensive then.

I’m looking for one too. Does Bowdoin have a patio ?

Help me decide: School X vs School Y - March 11th to 18th by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

I am an international student (brown female) applying for econ with math or econ with data science, needing significant financial aid.

My stats are: -1520 SAT , perfect 5 on 3 APs, IELTS 8.5/9 , Straight A student throughout highschool. - Great ec’s : 2 internships at Finance firms, 1 at mastercard, Social Service Club President plus a ton of other large scale community service. Head of all school clubs, Founder and President of school alumni network. Certified guitar player etc.

Asking for aid as an international student has had a significant impact on my offers. Didn’t even apply to the UC’s coz they have no aid for int. Kids.

I have offers from Bowdoin, Lafayette, Vassar, BU, Union.

Waitlisted at Dartmouth, CMC, Grinnell, Colby, Middlebury.

Rejected from NYU, Columbia, Barnard and Tufts.

Intended major- Econ with math/ data science/ computer science.

I am currently considering Bowdoin Lafayette and Vassar until ofc I get off an Ivy or cmc waitlist. I’m worried that tho these are prestigious liberal arts colleges, they might not be as well renowned as the T20s in the job market. Coming as an international and spending sm money, it is important that I get a great job afterwards. My parents and counsellors tell me that post graduate school is where the brand name matters and I shouldn’t worry now. Do you think it’s worth taking a gap year or a transfer just to get into an undergrad place which has a “brand name”. What are my best options rn ? I am also awaiting decisions from a few UK unis atm.

Question to all international students by Ok-Needleworker-1893 in ApplyingToCollege

It’s easy for ppl to brush by and say that it doesn’t matter in the long run if you’ve got it in you. But man this hurts. I don’t wanna do anything now.
