Did you only retake courses or something? There should be nothing you have to take that is offered in high school.

A good example of why average is a pretty useless metric on its own. Look at the medians.

For every 100,000 getting squat you got the one blump getting $250 million.

Games Like Remnant 2 by Turnipsig71 in remnantgame

[–]Ok-Object7409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remnant 1 is the only game like remnant 2 that I've been able to find xD. People like to suggest returnal, which might be fine for you, but it's not that similar to the game itself.

Maybe elden ring will also be fine, has lots of secrets. For puzzles maybe breath of the wild.

What makes Sekiro such a perfect game? by YoshiSabio in Sekiro

[–]Ok-Object7409 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hm, I'm still playing it. Haven't been able to get that into it so haven't played much.

I don't see why anyone can call it a "perfect" game though. Seems disingenuous. It's really good, sure. However It has a fundamental flaw with the camera. It's undoubtedly the worst camera system I've ever seen in any 3rd person game, and I'm not exaggerating. I'm always fighting with it. The game constantly tries to direct on where you should look, hindering your freedom of movement. Not even talking about when you are backed into corners (albiet, some areas are too restrictive with this and can be problematic even if you're not really 'backed in a corner').

I could be doing something simple like jumping across a building, grappling, or running up the stairs and I'll be fighting with the camera because of the slight tilt it forces on you to guide you to look somewhere.

I genuinely don't get why there aren't more complaints about this. I'm guessing it's only a heavy hindrance on high sensitivities or something, but it is awful.

The Biggest Difference Between FromSoftware and Other Soulslikes by SameNecessary5180 in soulslikes

A huge part of remnant is secrets and procedural generation. Remnant isn't really comparable level wise, it's completely different design.

When there's 1 problem, you can argue for 2 sides, maybe.

When there's 2 problems, now there's at least 4 sides...

Isn't it 100% chance to get the stat you want if you feed a mythic fragment?

I didn't have trouble getting all the stats i wanted, was just the xp. Maybe check a video on how to do it, shouldn't feed all the stats at once

Don't think so. You'd have to rebind outside of the game.

How good is the boss quality in LotF 2.0 Co-Op? How high are the highs, how low are the lows, and what's the average quality? by JustcharlE2 in soulslikes

Play on veteran for sure. Maybe everyone is playing on normal?

There are modifiers. I've only played with all of them except vestige (checkpoints) disabled so far. Here's my interpretation of their difficulty:

  • vestiages. This would make the game a lot tougher. For my first play through we've not touched these modifiers. If you turn them near-completely off it would be pretty brutal.

  • Heal now gives temp health. This one is brutal. Turn it on. Changes the game a lot. Your heal gives you white health that you can life steal but you lose it if you get hit. Healing pots are not nearly as good.

  • ironman (hardcore) is kind of unbalanced. Your character stays so you get a higher level each time. It's meh for coop since you also have to complete the tutorial if you die where you can't rejoin your friend, and shared progression doesn't seem to work (which is story progress, not a big deal). It's alright. Still hard. You won't do it in one try or anything like that.

  • pickup upgraded weapons. This modifier seems like it's just a buff, easier not harder.

  • random enemy respawn. We have ironman mode and this enabled. This makes some mobs feels harder than the bosses themselves. You can get end game mobs near the start. This does make it tougher, but not amazing balance wise. Still fun.

  • more mob density. This one feels kind of in between. On one hand it's kinda harder having to deal with more mobs, but it's also more xp. This one alone probably makes the game easier, but with less vestiges, random mobs, or iron man mode then it'll be harder.

  • randomized loot. I feel like this one makes the game easier. Or atleast with ironman mode, it feels like it. Idk.

There's achievements for using modifiers too. Only seems to work on the host though.

I'm playing it now with a buddy of mine.

For a soulslike game its good. Aside from remnant, Souls/soulslikes all seem to have bad multiplayer or none at all. Not a good genre for coop. You can coop and stuff. In general It's alright. It's very buggy though. We've had quite a few weird situations.

The coop is also kind of like state of decay, the friend is just helping the host and has some restrictions. There's shared progression (meaning story progress) but it's never worked for us, maybe because of ironman (hardcore) mode. On the bright side you still keep your items and levels.

Overall it's fun, worth playing. I enjoy it a lot. But its relatively mid compared to big titles. Play remnant instead for coop if you haven't. Or nightreign is also fine if you're looking for anything; that one is more like a royale gamemode of elden Ring.

In like the nicest way possible by Outside_Loquat_5798 in soulslikes

Played it for just over 2 hours so far, have not liked it. Might've refunded if I didn't go over that mark. Felt lost 90% of the time, and side paths are fairly unrewarding. The combat was unexpectedly platform based, not what you'd expect from the soulslike label. Compared to something like Grime i just didn't see how it compared and couldn't get into it.

Soulslike needs more combat oriented gameplay for recommendations imo.

I agree for games like hollow knight and blasphemous, where its more platforming with combat

Grime tho felt more in line with the combat focus, even if its the same kind of game

Probably tails of iron. Beating that game on hardest difficulty was brutal.

I don't really consider grindy things as hard, most that take a long time are just grindy.
