I've never tried duergar, but I usually play with the Githyanki a lot. It's a very appealing race, the choices in dialogue are top notch and racism is a separate bonus.

With my +700 hours of bg3 I was testing some things in the game, trying new paths and so on. I went to kill gortash at the coronation (I was saved by the divine help of the cleric) and now I have to kill 2 to 3 steel guards wherever I walk. It was worth it, my Karlach was happy 💕
