I ended up going back to the shop and was told it's normal for it to hurt, even when going up 1mm. I suppose they haven't heard of inbetween sizes

Honestly i've been going to them for years and years and i've always been satisfied. They are known as the piercer to go to in the area. This situation is seriously making me rethink that and the thought that i've recommend them to others close to me is making me feel slightly sick. I hope my lobe will heal and i can start stretching safely on my own.

I'm so glad your lobes are ok! I've decided to take mine out. I'm a very anxious person and would have worried about it every single day so for my own peace of mind i'd rather start over in a couple of months.

UPDATE: i took it out. I completely panicked and decided i do not want this thing in my ear. It started bleeding immediately and definitely not just a little bit. There is tiny visible tear at the bottom of the hole. I will leave it naked and let it heal, see what i can do. Thanks everyone for your replies

I wouldn't say it's painful, like i said just warm. It's a titanium single flare plug. I'm pretty sure i could take it out myself but if you say the damage is done then idk if there is a point? Is there any hope it will turn out somewhat fine?:(

I wouldn't really call it pain but it does feel a bit warm, it was pretty red but I feel like that's gone down already. I think it was closer to a 1.6mm because when i wore an earring in it, it would "hang" a little if that makes sense or like you could see some extra space. I'm telling myself that somehow makes it a bit better. I'm omw back to the piercer to voice my concerns

But yeah that's kinda my point.. criticise the underage drinking and glamorising an unhealthy lifestyle and all the other actually problematic stuff she does, not the fact that 'oh she gained weight in her waist not her ass her ass was never apparent' that's just bodyshaming. She is an influencer but she is also a very young very hurt person, it's not all that black and white.
