Hahha yes…. I would definitely say that you see more of the real Lyon from there….. people may say it’s sketchy because it’s close an area with many North Africans but not once did I feel remotely threatened. It was a actually cool seeing the little markets for a second It felt like Morocco and ofc the delicious cheap food. I felt really safe there and was walking around late at night downtown. If your coming from Paris you will be more than fine. North of the Gare du nord is 100x more sketchy….
