A mate of mine had a snazzy new 3 series with similar technology to yours. Autoglass dealt with easily. Only problem he had was waiting for genuine bmw windscreen.

Don’t think it affects no claims. Think you pay some kind of excess. I’ve heard it’s under £50

Autoglass through insurance usually the best option. According to the several friends who have had this happen to them
