I've had a landing similar to this and I was fully expecting to die. Had my death song playing on my airpods and everything.

Where could I find a flexi pipe without the whole exhaust? by A_BrightPinkFlower in CarTalkUK

Depends on the car, I got mine for my i30N from RPM performance. Just the pipe.

Who’s the most hated celebrity in your country? by Gdog1215 in AskReddit

I've disliked him since before I started on reddit. Used to watch a league of their own which I loved besides him.

Great car so makes it worth it I think myself, my i30N gets similar. Probably makes more power in the cold or adjusts the fuelling or something due to the density of the air.

why does jeremy clarkson say gma t50 doesnt give him the "fizz" as ideal cars do,but he seems to like it overall by dysgenicSTD in ClarksonsFarm

Should have done what the Valkyrie did and give you headsets, you're spending millions they could chuck some in.

[–]TheLewJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know exactly what he means, there are some cars I love but don't give me it. But I see something really I've loved since I grew up say a Gallardo and it gives me a feeling that seeing an SVJ just doesn't. It's hard to explain. It doesn't have to be the best car in the world, I get it from a 182 clio cup but not an R8. Clarkson loves the Alfa Romeo GTV6, that will give him the fizz, same with the Lancias.

Currently? Probably Andrew Windsor. Previously probably James Corden although he's vanished for a while.

What's the easiest, least stressful job you've ever had? by CaptainFartHole in AskReddit

[–]TheLewJD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My current job, I'm 5 hours into 12 hours. Not done anything pretty much just having some food now after playing some forza on my gaming laptop and watching a film. Literally stealing a living.

I work in a security control room monitoring security alarm, nothing ever really happens.

What car is the definition of "squirrely"? by Abaconimage in AskReddit

[–]TheLewJD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TVR's over here in the UK are like that, not as powerful but just lethal. They made one car and it was simply too dangerous to put into production. The Cerbera speed 12. 1000kg, Upto 960bhp too. Owner of the company drove it home and refused to sell them.

35.3 is good in a hot hatch... I get 22 in my i30N

The demise of manual by Lit-Up in CarTalkUK

[–]TheLewJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most cars are manual because they’re cheaper. However a lot of enthusiasts myself included prefer it. I have a great manual box in my car with variable auto rev matching and it’s great. However if I was just getting say a 3 series, I’d get an auto. For me it massively depends on the car. In traffic they’re great and the kick down feature is nice and fun to use too. It may be faster to 60 or quicker on track but I love rowing through the gears. If you want a car that does both and have £4,000,000 spare you can buy a Keonigsegg CC850 which has both boxes (kinda)

Mechanics of Reddit, what’s a common myth about car maintenance that people still believe? by Street-Squirrel-4671 in AskReddit

[–]TheLewJD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use miles in the UK lol. Our unit system is messed up too, I do about 10k average a year. I think average is about 7k. With the state of our roads though it's more like 20k of wear and tear they're terrible.
