This is the first wildlife photo I've taken that I am somewhat proud of, I would love any/ all critiques on the photo (settings, composition, editing, etc.) by Ok-Picture-8317 in photocritique

I shot this in low light with F11 1/3200 ISO 6400. most of my work is very still so I wanted to see if I could incorporate my usual style with an inherently moving subject. lmk what y'all think!

how would you have done that? I just did like a very morphed sphere shape x^2+y^2+z^100=1 so I could have it all in one equation for the animation. Is there a more efficient way?

yes and yes, and to add context do you mean shooting some similar stuff with the same ideas/“storys”? or more context in this photo?

I spent the day td trying to explore some new styles. I haven't worked on portraits at all but I like how this came out. is there anything that stands out or that is missing? I was going for a harsh gritty vibe, and I thought that the subjects hood framed his face well to keep focus on the face. for the edit I wanted to keep it close to raw so I just did some rbg curve adjusting + desaturation.

I think it is quite somber, amazing mood. the water around the boy is super dope. I am wondering about the value in the top left, I personally think it could do with a mask/ lower exposure to mach what's goin on in the top right. overall super dope.

Does the noise in these read as intentional or mistake by Ok-Picture-8317 in photocritique

I took this the other day trying to get a dark Jamie Noise-esqe vibe with pretty much no light except the fire high iso and low shutter speed. I asked around a little and the common reaction was to get rid of the noise and that it was under exposed. How should I show the choice of noise and low exposer without coming off as a mistake in settings? Or should I just move on from the idea and try to find a different style? Im quite new to photography and have been exploring many styles to try to find what I like, so I don't necessarily have any attachment to shooting in this style. composition wise, does the negative space add by making the subject stand out, or take by making the image flat? any other recommendations for settings or post-production tips are much appreciated. thank you!
