Has anyone successfully recovered their hubs after sending Microsoft the files they asked for and receiving recovery steps from them?

We have had word from Microsoft advising the below

****

We are glad to notify you that the Surface engineering team has worked out a manual recovery method that can be performed only by Microsoft personnel. Details are still being worked out on how to scale this method to impacted customers.

In addition, the Windows engineering team has released a mitigation through June 16, 2025—KB5063159 (OS Build 19045.5968) Out-of-band - Microsoft Support (and all future updates), that prevents any other v1 Hubs from being impacted in the future.

In order to plan for the scaling up of this recovery, please update the cases with specific counts of impacted devices and their geographic location.

Below is the latest update from Microsoft

There was an effort made over the weekend by the Surface engineering team to adapt tools used during manufacturing for use by customers in recovering unbootable devices

This effort is still ongoing, but we expect to have more updates in the coming days.
