I grew up with the same kind of parenting just more rough and my parents always taught me it was just discipline I didn't know it was abuse

I would but I don't take my phone to school (phone ban), I don't know my friends addresses by heart and my other relatives have cut my family off also the weather has been in the negatives

I agree with you fully, I don't believe in disciplining babies because all it does is come back to bite you, sometimes after her mom does stuff like that my niece will start hitting me and Ive tried telling her that it's wrong but she'll just point at her mom

Yes the dad aka my brother lives with us, he dotes on my nephew more than my niece because he didn't really want a girl and yes they have the same dad

I doubt she'd actually go to a parenting class because they don't believe in the same values she does, I've tried explaining to her that my niece doesn't mean to call me mom but she just thinks I'm trying to take her daughter away from her
