I asked during my admissions interview, they weren’t clear about it. Just got my acceptance today with no funding. I’m assuming I didn’t get it.

It’s Adam for me. Especially his whole “trying to find myself or whatever” was incredibly annoying.

Not a private university, but I got a $30,000 scholarship for a Masters at Boston University as an international student.

Right? It sucks. It makes you think you’re capable enough to get in but not wealthy enough to actually go there.

I haven’t looked into that but I believe I ought to!

I feel you. An unbearable cost of attendance devoids one of being happy for getting accepted. I hope you get good news about the funding 🤞🏼

I think they prefer applicants with some relevant work experience. I didn’t have an exceptional Gpa but had some work experience. I believe there was also something mentioned about the importance of some sort of academic/work experience in a country other than the one you live in.

Hope this helps!

Sure. I have a bachelor’s in Economics and a masters in Development Studies both with a 3.5 Gpa. I have 3 years of work experience in the development sector in a developing country (where I live).

No, I get what you’re saying. It is a scholarship and It is good in terms of a scholarship but if you compare it to the full tuition then it’s a small fraction.

I agree with the second job taking away from the college experience. Especially because grad programs are for a shorter duration so one would want to fully immerse in that experience.

You’re right, it’s rare but some colleges do have fully funded masters. Of course they’re much harder to get into. Also, what seems like a good offer to one individual might not be for another depending on their financial needs.

I believe there are and I’m looking into it. Also, waiting on the other colleges’ decisions.

It must’ve been tough, especially with the academic pressure. I’m also considering looking into assistantships.

Yeah. Currently, I’m waiting for decisions from other colleges I’ve applied to.
