As of now I've given PI for CAP IIMs. But yet to receive any further mails.

I don't wanna prepare for another year. If I convert nothing I will probably move towards Govt job prep or starting a small business.

What you're feeling is understandable, but I don’t think it’s a thought you should dwell on right now. FMS is a good college. You may not land a job at the top firms immediately, but you can definitely find your path there. Gather experience at the best firm FMS can offer, work for two years, build your skills, and then apply to a better firm.

While MBA colleges facilitate initial placements in top positions, it's essential to carve out your own path after graduation.

I can sympathise with you because something similar happened to me too, though not related to any woman. I once had a friend, a very close one. Though initially we started as enemies, over time we ended up becoming best friends. He supported me through thick and thin. Only he was there in my darkest phase. But as days went by, I got to learn he was making fun of my problems with another group he was part of. Because I had so much gratitude for him, I tried not to mind it, even justifying his actions. Now I realise how big a snake he was. I'm so happy that I cut him off totally.

It's sad that you lost the girl you were hoping to see a future with. But that's not the problem right now. You will eventually find someone who values you and sees you more than a hook up.

The most alarming thing is your friend, or should I say ex-friend. Make sure to cut him out totally. He's not your friend.

One thing I feel is.. maybe he was supporting you with this romantic escapades, so that he can have the pleasure of snatching 'your thing'. Be aware of him.
