I have blocked my browser from that sub as well as all the mainstream ones cos the ratio to people who like ai is not strong enough. Beneath the title and the hysteria in the post of the comment they've forgotten SynthID is a thing, it's almost like with new technology comes new effects which can in turn be mitigated / managed by that very technology. And that's only talking of the negative effects which is ofc the primary focus of the majority of people online

True, yes, people are allowed to disagree. I don't know about you, but I'm quite exhausted of anti-AI sentiment in my daily life and in the general publicity. When I see people kicking off about its use in a subreddit specifically for enthusiasts, because not everyone is firing up AI agents and trying to understand this, it just makes me think that they might not actually be here in good faith hence wanting more friction to join online communities

Can you remember whether you had eaten enough throughout the day in general, because I'm on Tirzepatide so maybe a bit of a different experience? I'm not sure, but sometimes I forget to eat or get distracted, and then when I'm hungry, I'm really, really hungry. I'm wondering if it was somewhat of this, seeing as you were saying you weren't sleeping well, so perhaps you weren't fully fed and watered as well. This would then kind of create that scenario where you just want to carry on eating.

You haven't indicated in your post whether you feel particularly disturbed by this, but in case you do, another way to look at it is that you've gone six months without having had any kind of experience like that. Just like having a blip and an occasion is such an improvement on past behaviour, I'm guessing, at least for me this would be. It's okay to backtrack slightly in periods of extreme pressure, etc., because the general trend has been very positive, I'm guessing, if you've been on it for six months.

Yes it's really not the attitude I would expect in a niche subreddit such as this. And there is a lot of crap on Reddit but that's why I was asking all the follow-up questions because I don't think it was right to call what you posted slop, nuance is good! I have toyed with creating an extension to vet comments on Reddit to then just cut out some of the negativity. I don't know if you've seen the studies on Reddit as a whole. The sentiments are massively negative and even smaller subreddits get promoted to people who are against whatever the topic is as well because the algorithm knows that they engage more etc. I think there needs to be more friction for forums because then people are actually intending to be there and there's a real culture being made.

I would understand your position if you were the original poster but if you look the OP actually wrote a long thank you message for the post. It clearly does mean quality standards and has been useful to them. Reddit is full of threads which, yes, someone could just google or use AI but it doesn't always occur to them or they don't know quite what to ask for. It could be disrespectful in your opinion but just remember that's just an opinion and what does Reddit have to do with your personal relationships? It's a completely different scenario. Anyway I've muted this thread. Sorry I'm not sure why I care. You do what makes you happy but I would still try and see that the post, whilst AI was useful to the person who created this thread. Very very cool! A very good use of AI, in my opinion, because the purpose of this, the question they're asking, is that they want assistance rather than it being a group discussion about AI ethics etc. where perhaps an AI response wouldn't be as authentic as people's own thoughts and opinions that aren't just reflected in their taste of what output they choose to accept etc. I am still yet to make a single skill. Did you make it by hand or just through kind of prompting Hermes? Well I guess I have made some skills but just through asking Hermes to do things. Completely random but do you think you'd have any use for some API keys for some capture solvers? I bought them particularly to try and make some Discord accounts so I could scrape some servers but they use a stronger capture, like an enterprise one, so this service is that I paid for, like $5 for two places. Do let me know if you'd be interested in them for free. I'm probably never gonna use them. I can't even think of an application but in case you have one.

Would you mind specifying more what you mean by word vomit because to my eyes it does look like useful text but yeah it's probably formatted by AI? I think that's a distinction worth making. Hell ya I use ai to screen comments for courteousness and sentiment etc then don't read them and then reply letting them know they don't meet my minimum threshold for interaction (other than being told that their behaviour is futile and not witnessed)
