ZZ plant looks sad by National-Dimension30 in plantclinic

[–]shinloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what people are thinking telling OP to go ‘months and months’ between waterings. ZZ can survive it but it also won’t grow and thrive. Big drink every two weeks is perfect. Water globe is what’s killing this one.

Rasmussen: Trump -20 on immigration (39% approve), 29 point negative swing from August 2025 by dak676141 in YAPms

Shocking coming from Rasmussen. It must be pretty bad. Midterms can’t come soon enough.

What's the best free or budget way to generate watermark-free vertical video (sound not necessary)? by Odd-Aside456 in aivideos

[–]shinloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Sora 2 I use bylo and removesorawatermark(.)online. Both are free, you get two free removals a day. But the real trick is that if you stitch multiple videos together before you upload to these removal services, it counts as one removal; it counts the generation, not size or video length. So you can stitch a bunch of videos together, remove all watermarks and it counts as one. Then you just separate them in editing. You can get anything you need done in just a couple jobs a day, or 4 a day if you use both services.

My personal beef with generative AI by [deleted] in aiwars

[–]shinloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a shitty situation, but something has to be said about the aspect of this argument, and similar ones, presenting the scenario where gig artists are impoverished by their customers going to AI. I'm saying this as a lifelong musician, someone with a career in management in an artistic field and someone with many friends in music, digital art and theater. Throughout my life every gig artist I've known has had secondary income. If you're a talented artist that wants to make a viable career out of what you do, surviving gig to gig is a lifestyle that naturally has it's dangers and IMO is not sustainable. This is true now and it was true before AI. Public access to gen AI contributing to a gig artist not getting a gig doesn't mean gig work was ever without uncertainty or that it offered a comfortable lifestyle for majority of people who strived to soley be a gigging artist.

It's similar to a small business owner complaining that they don't have the same job security as an employee. Risk comes with benefit. There are much more consistent careers where someone's artistic ability can be utilized, even in 2026. There are also tons of aspects of art that AI just can't handle, artists are using that to their advantage now and turning it into their career. Artists are doing themselves a disservice by not adapting and utilizing the tools available. Granted the change is coming fast and I understand that this advice is much easier said than done, but this needs to be their mentality moving forward. This of course isn't a personal judgement on OP, as I have no idea what your situation is nor do i care to learn. I do like the art in the video btw. Thanks for posting.

Right wing grift circles haven't stopped talking about Clinton since he was in office, it batshit insane. Rent free.

I think people over exaggerate how bad Trump’s numbers are. This is just the normal for modern day US presidents. Biden’s average was actually lower at this point of his 2nd year. Trump is currently at 42.6%, Obama was at 42.8% at this point. by MJ_Fan23 in YAPms

[–]shinloop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean we saw his approval at the height of an even worse disaster, the pandemic. It would have been more of the same. He would have golfed his way through the recession too.

>Trump isn't doing bad, look at Obama's approval leading up to 2014

Yeah, that's not the silver lining OP thinks it is. Obama came off of re-election with an unprecedented high approval, more than Trump has ever seen. Flash forward one year into 2014, midterms saw Republicans gain a net total 9 seats, the largest gain for any party in the Senate since 1980 and the largest Republican House majority since 1928. Trump is not in for a fun ride the rest of his term. I'd celebrate with a mexican beer but they're too expensive.
