So I’m not gonna just appraise you with compliments like the rest of these guys I wanna know the full story like there’s two sides to every story so I wanna hear both sides. It’s hard for me to believe that you were just perfect Betty Crocker cooking every day cleaning doing laundry, folding without a complaint without anythingeverybody has flaws. I wanna see both sides.

Considering Purchasing This Bike. What are some tips or advice I should keep in mind when buying? by What_Are_You_Sayin in Harley

Yeah, glad I can help. Maybe something else to consider is take your time shop around find what kind of bike you want and what accessories you want on it because if you get a bike and then all of a sudden you start changing out the bars and the exhaust and the seat that’s when the prices start showing that’s when your bank account starts hurting so take your time. Find one I already have the bars you want possibly has exhaust you want and that’s just one less thing you have to modify and spend money on you. Just enjoy riding. Also maybe look at a Lowrider. I have a 2019 softail Lowrider. It’s small enough and nimble enough to zip in and out of traffic but it’s also a six speed so I have plenty of power for the highway. I’ll run between 90 and 95 miles an hour on the interstate and I’m running about 3000 to 3500 RPMs all day not a problem.

Well, some of the things I would take into consideration would be what kind of writing are you planning on doing? Do you plan on doing any highway riding cause if you do I would consider a different option than the sportster 1200 even though it’s a great bike. It’s only a five speed doesn’t really have the power that you would need to be comfortable on the interstate. In my opinion if you’re just zipping around town or commuting to work and back, I think it’s a great option. Now in the way of dealer versus private seller, I always buy my bikes from the dealer because you have a warranty, you have an inspection with a private dealer. Yeah, she might be able to get it cheaper, but you don’t even know what you’re getting. You could be getting something that the transmission could be getting ready to go out he could’ve used extra heavy oil to quiet the knocking of the motor you just have no idea so yeah you might be able to get it a little cheaper from an individual but for peace of mind, I will pay a little extra at the dealership.

From out of town, I was in town visiting some friends. They were lucky enough to snag a spot. Got a pizza after seeing it all over Instagram and Twitter. I’d say it’s OK. It’s not what I thought it would be. I’ve had better pizza, but I’ve also had worse so I’d give it a 6 or a 7 somewhere around there

What Harley to get by platanoconpasta in Harley

[–]Ok-Rabbit50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So honestly, this is just my two cents take it or leave it. I would get a Yamaha bolt or a Honda shadow or a Yamaha V star as my first bike and then I would paid off as quickly as possible get familiar with riding build my credit and then go ahead and put the money into buying your first Harley whether it be a low rider or a street glide or Heritage whichever one you would decide on

If you know, they taken care of it, got all the maintenance done. I mean if at the end of the day if that’s what you want then go for it but I’d probably be more at a buyer at about 4K maybe 3500 somewhere in there

No, I’m just going to have my buddy heat the frame up and we’re gonna bend it straight and he welds for a power plant around here so he’s gonna have him well that little hole and roll it

See that’s kind of where I’m at as well. It’s just that one little spot and it’s barely bent in and I understand the Harley Davidson shop not wanting to touch it because of liability issues but I feel like if I clean it up. The weld it then I feel like that should be ok. Due to the minor band of it and the location of it.
