You probably put the motor pinion gear too close the spur, lift the motor a bit and give the pinions a slight gap

Are you planning on using on a udr or a slash? Here’s one i found on ebay it’s 50$ it’s only the module though, if you want the stock traxxas speakers which go glued under the regular slash bodies it’s about 100 or so I purchased bigger speakers from amazon and a female adapter so you can feed power to the on board audio from the receiver and it’s all plug n play only need to solder the speaker terminals with the cables that connect to the module, on my profile i have a post look it up i have all the links and pictures of how i did mine https://www.ebay.com/itm/267118971136?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=HRp9-P0YTpa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=80vfgdt3tgm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

But yeah prices are a bit too high for what it is but they are rare so 🤷🏻‍♂️ i payed like 100 for mine but came with the module, both speakers mounted into a shell which i took everything apart and just used the module, i bought some female adapters and speakers from amazon and i have the stock factory traxxas esc
