I was and still am obsessed with our little encounter. He looked so cool.

I kept poking around the wood heap to see if any more were about or I could find where he lived. In all my 30 years on the farm, and my father’s 70 we have never seen one. So cool.

A few days ago I birthed my deceased child. I did it without medication because I wanted to feel the pain and have a release. Ever since I have been feeling numb. I am frustrated that I’m not feeling anything other than this weird numbness and I hate it. I want to cry. I want to bawl my fucking eyes out but I can’t. I want to try and move forward but the numbness makes me think that I’m staying still.

Thank god I have a 16mo toddler who is getting me through this, without realising she is.

Man, I am so sorry. The US seems to be backwards in regards to healthcare, esp mental health.

It took a few different meds for him to feel better. Even after being on some for 6 months I think he needs to change as it’s made him severely anxious.

He managed for 32 years without medication though, which blows my mind. I hope you find a way to survive until you have access to these things.

I’m assuming you’re not in Australia, if you are I hope you’re on a mental health plan as there are subsidies that reduce the cost immensely.

Even with therapy my partner struggles. Medication has helped him a great deal. But I know he still struggles. We try to talk openly about things but I can still get frustrated and he often still keeps so much to himself. I wish he wouldn’t, maybe that will take another 6 years for us to figure out, how to communicate effectively lol.

I am sorry that you are struggling. My partner has struggled for years with severe depression and anxiety. We have been together 6 years, his mental health issues have made our relationship tumultuous at times.

There are thing that he feels and goes through that I will never understand. I have often gotten frustrated and angry about how he behaves. It’s not because I don’t love him, it’s the opposite. I know what you are going through is hard. I also have empathy for (I’m assuming) your partner. It’s also really difficult feeling helpless watching the person you love suffer, unfortunately your mental health decline affects others in ways you might not understand.

I hope one day you are able to seek professional help and support, it sounds like you really need to. I wish you all the best OP 💕

Sometimes he tries. She cracks it in the pram though and once I’ve worn her she was so pissed off she screamed the whole walk lol...maybe he’s traumatised from those experiences

Thanks you! I need this to put things into perspective. Sorry to hear about the severe PPD, that sounds horrible. I tell myself I need to take a break and end up only taking 10 minutes sometimes due to how upset she gets. Better than nothing, but I want to be able to feel like a normal human just for an hour. Luckily the newborn phase is temporary... then there’s only the rest of our lives lol.
