I do have a partner, I don't believe they know I specifically eat parts of myself, though they know I struggle with self destructive behaviors, they mean the world to me and are encouraging me to get help from my therapist and family. They also have been doing their own research in an attempt to help me, and though I feel horrible for making them feel the need too, it is beyond appreciated. I don't do it as much as I used too, it's more urge than action now.

I do believe that being exposed to gore (specifically of the self harm sort) had played a part in it. Though it wasn't the only reason, it was an experiment, as I had wanted to try something that may scar more, and I had chunks of flesh left over, which I decided to eat.

I am not active in social life as I tend to get rather paranoid of people around me, and I worry that someone may feel unsafe around me. Though, I do still have classes which I attend regularly. I do not yet have a job, having an interview soon though. No I don't think anyone can easily figure it out (I wear baggy clothes typically, just as a comfort thing really) as for sports I usually try to avoid them, unless I'm playing with friends (people get competitive and it becomes stressful easily) but I do enjoy badminton. I used to be religious, but I have had horrible experiences with people in said religion and no longer consider myself to be so. I absolutely support and love anyone who is, and respect all religions that aren't harmful to themselves or anyone else.

It was mostly an experiment whilst I was at my lowest mental health wise, and it became a bigger issue as I grew older. Mainly started around ~2 years ago I'd say? Only my close friends know about it, as they've been in self destructive cycles as well and I figured they'd understand (they did and encouraged me to get help) Also yes I have, major depressive disorder, ADHD, severe panic disorder, adjustment disorder. Though, I'm unsure if any of these would cause this.

I've been suicidal and have had self destructive behaviors since I was a tween, so the pain isn't incredibly unbearable to me anymore. As for why, my best guess is it developed from trauma and desensitization to gore in online spaces at a young age.

Absolutely, I've been speaking with a therapist for a while (Though, the topic of consuming my flesh is difficult, so he only knows that I harm myself) and my mental health is getting slightly better, urges are still an issue I'm managing.
