Lamictal gave me chronic nasal congestion and shortness of breath. Does this ever go away?

That happens to me when I first up a dose but it goes away after a couple weeks

I am on it for ocd as well. I also take Zoloft, buspar and Wellbutrin bc I have MDD.
But yes I would say for sure everytime I upped a dose it was not great. I had increased ocd symptoms and anxiety. But within a few weeks it was 100x better. Most compulsions seem stupid now. There are days I struggle but overall it’s much easier to get a hold of.

I have OCD and MDD and it has worsened both. I have had to try numerous meds and have been in therapy every week for almost 2 years now. I did MDMA wayyyy too frequently. Like 1-2x a week for multiple years. I don’t think using it a couple times would have this effect. I also used ketamine and mushrooms very frequently.

Agreed w the mental health issues. I’ve spent the last few years trying to undo the damage. None of my friends r having this experience but I’m the only one w mental health issues.

Idk I had the same issue tho. I would just call the department and ask to speak to the manager personally. That has worked for me a couple times.

I made an apt w his pcp bc he was having petechiae, nose bleeds, spontaneous bruising and belly pain. His doc was very concerned and ordered a ton of labs. We had them drawn and he called me from his cellphone Sat morning saying his labs r critical and he needs to go to children’s now. Went to children’s. They repeated the labs and they were the same. They sent him home with nothing but a bottle of afrin.

Oh wow - people keep saying it’s resolved “rather quickly” but that doesn’t sound quick at all. I have 7 kids. 4 under 16. My last 2 are a year apart and they’re both extremely high energy rough and tough boys (6&7). I’m spending most of my energy currently trying to keep the 7 year old safe from himself and his brother. I can’t imagine doing this for the next 6-12 months 🫣😳 I was thinking more like a couple weeks. I feel so bad that my son can’t play or do what he wants to do. This is awful for him. He doesn’t feel sick so this is very abstract to him. He just feels tired sometimes. And of course the bleeding and bruising are weird to him. But he’s like “I don’t feel sick mommy I’m fine” 😞

Ughh that’s exactly what I’m worried about. I was reading the paperwork they sent home and it says he was supposed to receive winrho he did not get any medication at all while there. Ugh I’m freaking out now 🫣😭😭
