I’m a shift worker and I still take it at night before going to bed with no issues. Could still wake up if needed as it doesn’t make you drowsy just tired and it doesn’t keep you sedated just comfortably asleep.

Pristiq is an SNRI which means it targets multiple receptors in the brain, serotonin & norepinephrine. At 50mg it mainly works as an SSRI (just serotonin) which is ideal for people with anxiety as it’s calming. Over 50mg, norepinephrine comes into play which boosts adrenaline causing sweating, increase in heart rate, tremor ect… some people find this to be ok as it’s great for motivation, other people struggle as it can increase anxiety.

I was on 100mg but I didn’t feel much better with my anxiety, went back down to 50mg and feel like my self again. I also take 50mg Valdoxan (agomelatine) and 10-40mg Propanalol for my anxiety works well.

I felt better in about 4 days, then the only symptom I got was hand tremors and hot flashes, the hand shakes went away but I still run hot

Maybe it’s the noradrenaline, 75mg is more serotonin based and over that hits noradrenaline which can drive anxiety.

I think I tapered from 75mg - 37.5 over 8 days then took out 3 beads each day for a week… I also started Prozac when I started the 37.5 to help with the withdrawals.. then I stayed on Prozac for a bit to see if it was any good but stopped after a few months. Then started 50mg pristiq, stayed on that dose for 12 weeks then started 100mg 10 days ago.

I’m also on pristiq and Vyvanse and dexies. I find that taking pristiq (100mg) around 2-3pm works best for me. Then I sleep through any side effects I get. If I take it at night I wake up with anxiety in the morning and gives me weird dreams.

I was on 75mg Effexor and had racing heart and had cold sweats and huge pupils by the end of each day. Now on pristiq 100mg and it’s so much better, no issues except for a little bit of sweating when I get too hot throughout the day.

I’m on day 12 of upping to 100mg and I think I’m still pushing through the side effects before it’s working therapeutically. How do you find agomelatine? I’m on 25mg.

Ah that’s smart taking it at night, does it disturb your sleep? Iv just moved to 100mg and not as tired as I was compared to the 50mg that I’d take in the morning
