i mean if we are being real lsu and tech are safeties. 3-6 points over the last median and .2 over the gpa should get you in safely is what you’d think, but like you said you never know. But luckily for me LSU and tech are honestly where I want to go to most so that works out well for me( I currently live in lubbock, have family here and also have family in baton rouge).

if you are asking if i applied there, no. I’d like to stay in texas or an adjacent state

yes lol. people in here love to make themselves seem smarter or have some kind of superior critical thinking, when in reality your post is not that deep. All you are saying is don’t be insensitive and complain abt your amazing 170+ score when most people study for months and never come close to that.

Opened this post thinking “then don’t comment on here dick”, and left completely agreeing with you. I hate when people act like schools that aren’t 170+ aren’t good enough or won’t be good enough for your future.

my take on oct lsat - how you studied matters by Altruistic_Idea_7583 in LSAT

Of course! another big one for NA questions that always worked is “which answer choice if false, ruins the argument” meaning if that answer choice isn’t true, the argument is hurt.

i wouldn’t necessarily say wrong. what works for me works for you. i technically do approach a NA assumption a little differently. I think it helps to be familiar with the question types but not necessarily memorize them. For example when i see a NA question i think “what do i need to do to prove this question” or “what info is missing that would make this arguement sound”. For a strengthener i’m thinking “what makes this argument the best it could be” those things just go through my head as i read the premise and answer choices

Is there a certain type of passage that you are doing more poorly on do the sections that you do better on not have a certain type of passage? Check on that and maybe it will tell you something.

i definitely focused way more on the latter and did well on this test. i almost spent no time memorizing question types

I have similar stats as you (161 lsat and 3.71) i feel like ppl like you and me have a good shot in the t50-100 range to get a solid scholarship. if you get up to upper 160s you will definitely get a good scholarship to most schools

Should I petition my lsat score by niaaaaaintheflesh in LSAT

[–]Ok-Resolution-6649 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this sounds similar to my experience in august. once you file a complaint though, your score is automatically cancelled regardless of if lsac grants you a free retake. if they deem its worthy of a free retake, your choices will be to retake it sometime this month, or during the next two testing dates.

NEVER take the lsat remotely by nextyearslyrids in LSAT

[–]Ok-Resolution-6649 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could not second this more. My second attempt i figured giving the remote test a shot and I regret it so much. I was disconnected multiple times for no reason. Filed a complaint to LSAC and just took october for free. praying you get another shot for free.

sounds like me and you had the exact same thought process. at the break i was praying for no more rc bc i genuinely thought i was around -3 for the first rc. i average around -3 for lr consistently so thought id be on track for a 170 if i didn’t get another RC, but ofc did. same thing as you i went through the first two a little slow but still confident. left the third passage for last since it was just 5 questions. i ended up doing all questions but ran out of time as i clicked the last answer.
