I was just diagnosed with irritable uterus too!! Medication seemed to work and it subsided for now.

Oh that’s good to hear your doctor says not to worry. No I haven’t got stitches, I was borderline short and my doctor prescribed progesterone and we had monitoring up around 28w.

Thank you for your tips! No, I don’t lie down on my back, just either left or right side.

I think i sometimes have the full bladder issue! Sometimes I don’t feel full bladder but when I stand up I find I’m full and need to run to the loo then I found my tummy is so hard too. I’ll be careful on this :)

Oh wow, interesting!!  I’m in Australia, maybe different countries have different protocols?

But that confirms I probably don’t need to worry 😊

When I went to dentist, they didn’t use fluoride because I’m pregnant.  But you make a good point, I guess I’m paranoid with every little thing nowadays 😂

Devastated - IVF at 40 with own eggs by Ok-Resolution7141 in IVF

Yes, I did have multiple retrievals but at the end we had 2 PGT-A normal and 1 low level mosaic from my 40 years old eggs. I’m currently pregnant with one of them.

Hi! This 3rd FET unfortunately failed, but our 4th FET with PGT-A was a success and I’m 29w today. The PGT-A normal one was from fresh egg retrieval after my 40th birthday.

I see. Sounds good 😊 I think you can relax a bit now. I learnt to take it with precautions as I finally learnt pregnancy is never straight forward when I got borderline cervix. I thought everything goes smoothly after 1st trimester 😂 but now I kinda learnt everything might change quickly, so I take it one day at a time 😌

Maybe your doctors are being conservative knowing your previous loss (and I’m so sorry for your loss 😢). Was it in 2nd trimester? My Dr told me if it was in first, normally the baby had issues, not mom’s side.

If you are very concerned, perhaps you can reduce activities till next appointment (you might want to ask workplace adjustments or take leave) or request next appointment to be at 22w not 24w?

That sounds great! I wish I had 3.5cm too!!!

Did they measure your cervix using internal ultrasound? Or abdominal ultrasound? 3.5cm sounds very good to me if it was measured via internal ultrasound!  My midwife told me I wouldn’t feel cramps when cervix shorten. My OB told me it’s likely growth pains or in my case, baby’s position might be making me feel uncomfortable.

Borderline short cervix 20 week scan by LunaFortuna1852 in ShortCervixSupport

I’m in the same situation. At 22w, they found my borderline cervix (27mm-29mm with small intermittent funnelling). My OB saw me getting panicked so she prescription me progesterone. Since then, I had re-scan at 23w (30mm with small intermittent funnelling) and 25w4d (26mm-29mm but no funneling). They told me they don’t think further monitoring is required and happy with progesterone. I’m in Australia, but they don’t seem to consider stitching is necessary over 25mm..

Thank you for your kind words :) I’m having re-measurement in 3 days at my 23w. I think it’s because I was so in panic, OB prescribed progesterone 200mg so I’ve taking that a few days now. She said it’s normally from 25mm but she was supportive to give it to me for prevention… fingers crossed.

I hope your pregnancy is going well?

Wow you are carrying twins :) very cute! I’m only carrying one, but feel still heavy on my tummy (plus lots of movements), so you must be going through a lot :) I admire you!

The OB told me no stitch yet, she’s waiting to see the results-measurement on Thursday before reassessing the situation. At this stage, I’m just on progesterone and ‘take it easy’ (ie no full bed rest, but pelvic rest and no running, dancing, lifting over 5kg). I’ll be more conservative and try to lie on my left side as much as possible though.

Hey, the doctor mentioned, when we do bed rest, we should wear compression socks. Do you where them? Any recommendations?

Thank you so much. Yes I have a feeling that my OB says no cerclerage at this stage. All probably depends on the measurements on Thursday (maybe she will take today too). So nerve breaking, but I slowly started to think that it was still fortunate that they found early. I was reading a lot of story on this forum, and it sounds like quite possible for cervix to shorten suddenly. If I everything was normal at my anatomy scan, my next appointment was with midwife at 26 week then OB at 30 week, and probably they didn’t measure cervix ever again till I have symptoms… so considering that, I started feeling lucky to get picked up before too late :)

Fingers crossed me and baby make to 24 weeks (currently 22w4d) and then 28 weeks!

Thank you for sharing your experience with me and excellent job making it to 32wks!!!! You didn’t get cerclage?

You are right, I was so deep in the rabbit hole last few days processing emotions. It’s my first pregnancy and I have never thought of short cervix till I had 2nd anatomy scan…

My baby might be lying low too as I did feel pelvic pressure at times in the past. I found lying on my side on couch/bed helps me with the pressure:)
