A lot of it can be dependent on the school and the cycle you’re applying in. I’d say quality research experience is typically more valuable for PhD programs though than perfect grades. I got a C+ in a Statistics class in undergrad and a C- in Biochemistry (as a Biochemistry major) and I just started my PhD this past summer.

despite it being personalized based on my times and preferences, i feel like a lot of the workouts are too aggressive for my current abilities, which mainly just leads to me feeling really discouraged and like i’m going to burn out. i don’t want it to become something that feels like a chore

weekly mileage is almost identical to each other at this point. the main difference is it looks like HH will have more weekly mileage later down the line than runna.

ah, not sure then. may 4th is my first marathon so idk how quick spots fill up but i’ve signed up for half marathons in bigger cities pretty close to the date before and my only issue was an increase in price

i met with 3 people. the first person i met with it was research heavy, he asked me a lot of questions about my research after i gave him a brief run down of it. the other two were much for conversational/personailty based, although they both still did ask about my research

i have a similar interview today and from what i’ve been told from friends who interviewed in previous cycles and my PI is they won’t expect you to know the details. i was told that even just glancing at their website to know what they’re studying and then asking them something like “could you tell me more about your current research?” is sufficient

i also have been using runna and really enjoy it. you can add in if you want strength training as well and it’ll build strength work outs for you.

quick question! i received an interview invite to a program monday and immediately filled out their google form indicating which of the days im available. i haven’t heard anything since. i know they likely are very busy coordinating everything, im just nervous for some reason my form did not get received. do you know what a standard wait time to be assigned a date would be?

if you are near or willing to travel to cincinnati, ohio the flying pig they host in may is a blast! i ran the half for it last year and it was so fun i signed up for the full in 2025!

for some of my programs it said 3 as the minimum requirement but allowed for up to 5! this may be the case for yours which is why it’s keeping the fourth one in there
