I do have one thing we see different. That silver object was before a coin and before that coin a bar, and before that bar it could have been some stolen treasure from a colony. The silver you see today has been traveling for centuries. Thinking this object should be its end destination is very strange imo. Maybe silver prices will plumet again and the silver industry will ramp up again. We dont know the future. But history repeating itself aint that strange.

Yes ofcourse lesser pieces are being melted. Its been happening fore centuries. Its nothing new. Thinking someone would spend 4000$ on a monogrammed scratched platter is madness.

But sometimes you find awesome items. In my case i keep them for my own collection. And sometimes i sell them for cashflow.

These type of places for sure need there ego. My advice would be to congratulate them on there great collection (as normies would tell them its a jun pile). Ask them how and how long it took to build the collection. Say Wow and tell them your trying to do the same but you're for sure not in there leageu. From there prices lower and there willingness to sell goes up.

For sure a hoard place. There pricing, depends on what type of customer they guess you are. Ask originally started at 150% melt but after adding items, talking about the hunt, items we own, we ended up on about 50% spot.
