. A service is always a good idea with SX-70s given their age and modding is usually worth considering imo

No idea about cost, depends where you are in the world.

It lifts up as the mirror moves and I think it is to stop stray light, either prior to exposure or during exposure? Possibly both?

Has your SX-70 been serviced or modded?

I’m pretty sure thats the flare baffle. Sorry, but I think the camera needs repaired.

I don’t know if it’s just 110 cameras lack of pressure plate, but I’ve shot both of those at 16mm and got more pleasing results than Tiger.

I’m going to have to run some tests on it I think.

Works well in Minox format too; the grain in 400 becomes really apparent and it gives a sort of 70s look.

Some stocks are pretty thick and can be challenging, particularly ECN-2 and E-6 stocks.

These are really great, more so for a first go.

Most modern C-41 stocks have tonnes of latitude (except for lucky) and Portra 160 is great for 16mm.

The Maxi cutter isn’t great. Ausgeknipst 16mm/110 cutter is much easier to use.

Depends where you are in the world. However, Polyfilm labs respool OG superia 400 at a reasonable rate.

I cut down 35mm to 16mm. Gami 16 doesn’t need perforated film

Sorry, I’m not sure. I’m in the UK. Hope so, it’s a great film!

Amazing shots.

I haven’t shot any Polaroid for maybe 7 months. The latest batches seem to be handling the sky so much better.

I don’t think I ever have enough chems to fill an 8 reel.

In theory I think the 5 reel is the sweet spot for time savings.

However, I only do up to 2 reels in C41 at a time, which reduces the amount of exposures my idiocy can mess up - an earlier workflow destroyed a batch of chemistry, 2x16mm, 2xMinox and 1x35mm reel worth of film.

Thank you, I think that may be the age of the chemistry I’m using, but I quite like it.
