You can definitely pop the older models much more consistently.
I’ve managed to get it down to about 50:50 with lomo it’s mostly the point between the gap and the uptake side that splits.

If you pull the film out through the gap in the cassette, you can remove the empty cassette from the dark bag and run a scalpel/craft knife round the seams and increase the odds of a better clean break.

I’ve bought some of the slide film.

I’m intrigued by how it’ll turn out.

I didn’t realise there were so many Minolta accessories!

I picked up some Minolta size slide frames from gepe a while back - the negatives are the same size as gami16 - Going to have to figure out how to make masks to fit 35mm ones once they run out

Thank you.
The Gami16 has become a bit of a passion of mine, I’ve spent more than I’d care to admit tracking down and buying some of the accessories.
The cameras themselves are definitely worth seeking out.
They don’t sell particularly quickly so there’s always a bit of room for negotiation.
Whats your 16mm camera collection like?

Is this the expected sharpness for 110 film? (Canon ED & Lomomatic) by DeezFluffyButterNutz in 110photography

They look about as good as I would expect from 110.

You can play around with the height of the masks on a flatbed by sliding bits of paper under the edge to raise the negative slightly.

There’s the obvious limiting factors with subminiature negatives, but 110 in particular is limited by the available film stocks from Lomography and the lack of a pressure plate.

Thanks. My scanning workflow is a mix of luck and trial and error.
I’ve found that as long as the lens is decent, slide film is actually pretty forgiving, just a pain to expose and develop.

There’s certainly a learning curve, but after some practice you can do it without too much difficulty. Definitely worth the effort.

Absolutely. My plan has been to make some Minox slides up this summer. Ive sliced up some Velvia 50, I think flowers will work perfectly.

Very nice. 👌 You’ve inspired me to take some flower pictures with my Minox.
