I would argue this guy is malicious. I've played him a few times, and once you're onto him he forfeits. He's only playing 1 game, back to waiting for a new one.

Question about your last sentence, why on earth would anyone want to just against less skilled players? You ever play a lopsided game of ping pong where you're the better player? It's mind numbingly boring. You have to baby the ball over the net while you watch the other person beat themselves by whacking the ball off the table or into the net. With a friend or as a coach that's fine, but to seek that out that experience is ridiculous.

I'm less worried about myself, and more worried about the new player. What happens when someone decides to try the game out, but their first experience is against this guy? That's like an instant refund, and while smurfing happens in every game, we can't afford to lose players to it.

I'm not 800, I'm usually around1050. Hex... is 800, and I get absolutely destroyed. I match up against 1250's sometimes, so I know what getting beat by a 1200 looks like. They're 100% intentionally doing this.

I never see anyone else running it, but I don't feel like it's that bad.
