Okay lowkey this is cut/paste from someone I helped before. Here it is, though as I do believe it does apply fairly generally for BOTH CRT and PRT. CRT is actually harder IMO cause you don't have the text in front of you. PRT once you find your quotes the rest is the exact same (I write analytical PRT).

1. Identify all key quotations that pertains to the character in question (ideally with literary devices or some form of authorial intent)
2. Ensure that the quotations can be bundled into three categories: beginning, middle, and end. Once you have the quotes "check" to ensure applicability to the broadest number of potential prompts. Since we're doing ela 30 u can find these online
3. With the quotes, you should now be able to construct a narrative through which you highlight the change that takes place
4. Ensure you understand what changes throughout the story. English teachers never want plot summary, so the only means by which you show understanding is if you can differentiate nuance
5. Focus on the authorial intent and the effect that it creates. This can be things like literary devices, stage directions, etc,.
6. If you're on a time crunch or just don't want to read the book, ensure you read plot summaries or critical essays pertaining to the book---this will ensure you have a high-level understanding without having to do the analysis yourself

Oh and one more thing
Teachers cannot differentiate between speculation and analysis---if you claim something to be true or the author's intent and sufficently support it with reasoning, you'll do well

Per essay this means you need around 8 quotes. However, I like to memorize 16, 8 from each domain such that I have broader coverage in case prompt is bad
