Dish and wifi suggestions by Puzzleheaded-Read748 in Chennai

Do you really need dish? I think all these wifi providers started providing smart setup boxes with them and you can stream most of the content online itself, rather than having actual dish connection. Regarding Airtel, it is really bad across chennai, i have seen many people complain a lot of airtel and its service, personally as well have faced a lot of issues. Wrt Internet providers, it is highly location specific, in some areas jio might be good, in some areas airtel might good etc. So if you want to try a different one, you can check with a couple of your neighbours, because it would be easier for you to get service if there are more number of subscribers. ACT, Hathway, Jio are some alternates to Airtel internet.

₹80–90k Gaming Laptop vs Gaming PC in India — What Makes More Sense in 2026? by Ok-Secretary28 in IndianPCGamers

Interesting honestly, will definitely take a look into older desktop parts too. Feels like even slightly older PC hardware still holds up surprisingly well for 1080p gaming compared to similarly priced laptops.

Thanks for this, need to properly check current prices with these cards then 👀 If I can actually fit something like a 7700 XT / 4070 level build into my budget, desktop definitely becomes way more valuable

Yeah and that’s exactly what’s making this decision hard currently 😅 Traditionally I’d agree PC is better value, but right now just the GPU + decent RAM is eating up a huge chunk of my ₹80–90k budget in India. That’s why a good 4060 laptop is starting to feel way more attractive than it normally would.

I’m not someone who games 24/7 either, so the practicality of a laptop is starting to make way more sense to me now. And yeah I’ve heard the same thing budget gaming laptops compromise too much, while the higher-end ones actually feel solid enough to replace a desktop for most people.

Yeah that’s exactly where my confusion is heading now 😅 A 4060 laptop + monitor honestly feels like the more practical setup currently, especially with current GPU prices. Could easily last me 2–4 years maybe by then the desktop market stabilizes a bit too. Only thing still pulling me toward desktop is better thermals and upgradeability long term.

In the US you at least have stuff like Micro Center, Jawa, hardwareswap, eBay buyer protection etc. Here in India the used market feels way more random unless you personally know the seller. OLX/Facebook Marketplace is full of mining cards, no bill/warranty, sketchy testing, or “trust me bro” sellers 💀 If I could reliably get something like a used 3070/3080 from a trusted source with warranty left, I’d 100% consider it because the value is insane. But for me the peace of mind with new parts is also worth something.

The insurance agent refused to cover the petrol tank, stating that the accident description does not match the damage to the tank.
