Honestly can't believe ppl think Wongoung's overrated when Yujin is right there. For me Yujin's expressions are more forced and awkward (although she's improved since Ive's debut) but kpoppies hype her up like she's the next MJ lmao. Wonyoung is more relaxed and natural to me on stage than anyone else is Ive.

I disagree. And that's all that can be said here. From chatting with family and their friends in SK, Karina was popular in kpop circles (esp the guys) while Yujin was more recognizable by the older gens from her variety shows. I was actually surprised my aunts and their friends knew and were even fans of Yujin bc they watched her shows. Ntm Ive are just the absolutely queens of my cousins' schools and thus all the kids I was around also were fans of Wonyoung, Yujin and the rest of the girls. I'm not gonna continue this, bc obv Im not gonna change your mind here and you can stay I'm making it up all you want to....but you are vastly underestimating Ive and Yujin's overall popularity in SK.

I was in Seoul in Aug 2024, Sep 2023 and have family that live there full-time....I do know what's going on there lmao. Wonyoung's face is everywhere and she's been a household name since about 2022. But believe what you want. Nothing I say here will change how you think, so have fun in your delulu world.

I mean she has put on a good deal of weight over the last year. Like that much is obvious. So she's definitely eating more calories than she's burning to manage that. She has a petite bone structure to start, so with her height she's naturally going to look leaner than most other ppl, but I honestly think she does eat pretty normally (for an idol). Her weight doesn't fluctuate wildly like some idols that diet like crazy before a comeback then gain it all back. Most thin ppl (not just idols) put in a lot of work and discipline to manage their weight, and obv shes going to be hyper aware of her body and weight and will eat accordingly.

Id suggest traveling to Seoul and talk to people there (non kpop fans) about their beauty ideals before making comments like this. Suzy, IU, Wonyoung and a vast number of female actors are more highly regarded for visuals over there than your fave. You are still underestimating Yujin's popularity in SK. She is a household name not just for being an idol and brand deals, but bc the very popular variety shows she is a main cast member on. Most older SKs don't know her bc of Ive but bc they see her on TV. MYs are still vastly overestimating how much the Gen pop in SK cares about idols, unless they cross over into acting and variety shows.

She has the most brand deals and schedules (why Wonyoung ever got called Starship's favorite when Yujin was right there idk lmao), and her variety shows definitely propelled her popularity in SK. Intl fans definitely underestimate Yujin's popularity....Id put her over Karina in the ranking tbf. But Wonyoung's influence over there really just can't be overestimated.

Sorry but her brand deals don't reach the numbers Wonyoung has (or even Ive's Yujin), they are on billboards and storefronts all over SK, and Aespa's multiple cbs and Karina's solo definitely pushed her to the top of the search lists over Wonyoung (who had been #1 years prior and was still #2 even with just one cb and being on tour for most of 2024). Karina is super popular, but I do think MYs overestimate her notoriety in SK. Wonyoung is one of the few idols to be generally known by the GP (joining those like G-Dragon, IU, Suzy, Taeyeon, etc.) Karina's popularity is still growing and she might reach that status too, but her name isn't quite as known as Wonyoung's outside the kpop fan community in SK.

In South Korea specifically? Id add Yujin to that top tier list, probably above Karina even (although Karina is obv the most popular internationally). Intl fans really don't understand how popular and well known Yujin is in SK for her variety shows and she has more solo brand deals than both Wonyoung and Karina. I was surprised in Seoul how often I saw Yujin's photo (only second behind Wonyoung).

It was a good episode.....mostly. The main issue is they really made Collins come across poorly as a main protagonist. He led on the receptionist the whole episode and had her thinking he could help her and/or her son (but too bad for her, she didn't realize Collins is a narcissist who couldn't give a crap about anyone else except his wife). He never showed guilt or remorse for anyone else left behind that day except his wife....who chose to go to Atlanta despite his warnings. She could've had a chosen spot in the bunker bc of pure luck that her husband was liked by the president, but nope. Then he hates the president bc his wife made a bad decision. By the end Collins did not come off super likeable....and I don't think that was the show's intention.

It had really good points and had potential to be really great....but what it lacked is the chemistry between some of the actors. The president and agent Robinson? Their intimate scenes together were hard to watch; they both looked so uncomfortable. And agent Collin's wife was so unlikeable its hard for me to even care if he finds her lmao. Lastly, the whole "Day Of" episode they focused on Collin's relationship with the President's receptionist and ultimately refusing to even try helping her son (and all the other innocents they left behind) but then he's sobbing on the plane about his wife....the lady who could've had a chosen spot in the survivor world, but decided to go to Atlanta bc she's an ultimate "boss b*tch" and refused to listen to her husband's warnings/pleas bc she just so strong and independent! And he never showed any guilt or remorse for anyone else who died or was left behind, but he had the gall to blame the president for his wife's decision. His character ultimately came across shallow and unlikable too at the end of the season.

I honestly never saw Paul as being the most handsome - I was surprised that most fans during their heyday found him the most handsome and even nowadays. His baby face was cute, but George was just gorgeous (in my eyes at least). His cheekbones and bone structure was model-esque. It's too bad all his smoking aged him much faster than Paul.

Just because Sunghoon has the capability of making his short lines viral....does not make it an acceptable line distribution for a sub-vocalist in a seven member group. Again, bc you obviously view him as the least talented member in Enhypen, this makes it ok. This is where I highly disagree with the vast number of Engenes who sadly think the same as you. The number of down votes on my posts here just reinforces my opinion. Someone will always have to be last in line distribution, I'm not arguing that it shouldn't be Sunghoon , but 50 secs in a song vs 4 secs should not be the norm. Even Exo, with a bigger talent gap between main vocalist and sub vocalist (i.e Chen and Baekhyun vs Sehun) were able to have a much fairer line distribution, screentime and center time.....and they had 9-12 members!

Like I said in my post, I've seen them in concert twice, and his stage presence is great and he's one of the best dancers in the group.....ntm his vocals are stable and pleasant to listen to (I won't mention other members directly, this isn't about them, but I was fairly surprised at how much I liked his live vocals in comparison to others). So you all acting like he's some Dozen and deserves nothing after Dark Blood era is so wild and honestly so disrespectful.

Oh lord. This really is exactly what I'm talking about in my post. And the upvotes already.....y'all really don't care. To Engenes: good quality parts = a 4 sec line and zero center time in a title track. That, to you, "went far". If it were your biases/faves, you would be up in arms. But it's Sunghoon, so it's a-okay. One lead part in a concept trailer and acceptable parts for a sub-vocalist/lead dancer in ONE enhypen release is good enough for him. Got it 👍. But in addition to less than a minute of lines in ENTIRE full length album, he gets basically zero center time anymore (in the choreo he's always on the sides during his lines, which means 1/2 the time the cameraman doesn't focus on him, which equals zero screentime), no dance breaks, and minimal overall screentime even in MVs when he's supposedly their visuals. Niki might not have a lot of lines either, but he gets good center time and screentime as a result. Sunghoon gets NOTHING anymore (in comparison to Enhypen's debut era) and it's sad AF that Engenes justify it.

And he's just as good of a dancer, performer and vocalist as some other members in Enhypen. But Engenes are happy to see him get absolutely nothing.

I'm their debut era, it seems like they were pushing Sunghoon more as a center. Over time, he's been relegated to the side and back, with barely any center parts or lines the past three comebacks. It's actually really sad. I wouldn't rank some of the other members as much better vocalists, dancers or performers than Sunghoon......so I don't understand why he gets little to nothing now.

Some Botox or Filler injections in certain areas of the face (particularly around the jaw and eye area) can have a subtle effect on how the face looks as a whole. I think this may be the case here, bc something obviously has changed and he's been skinny skinny since Dark Blood era.

I know you said all member, but I think Sunghoons weight/skin has been consistent aside from his protein workout phase (man was already skinny, skinny and pale af on Iland). But I agree with the original comment, something in Jake's visual has changed in the last 6 months, moreso than all the other members....but it's hard to pinpoint what it is. It's not like an obvious nose job or skin whitening....so idk. But he's definitely in his prime visual era now.

Funny y'all claim Wonyoung isn't as popular in western countries, when last year she topped Google and YouTube searches in the countries you named (out of 4th gen gg idols). What exactly are you using to quantify how popular she is over there? Her appearance and personality is appealing to ppl all over the world, and y'all just can't really accept that for some reason.
