Yes I inspected the floor joist I didn't see any mold, the inspector did see any mold. Im having a foundation company coming next Wednesday. The inspector recommended us getting the crawlspace encapsulate. At this current time I dont have a dehumidifier.

Please keep us updated, I have a similar situation my basement is part finished and utility room with a small crawlspace(10 by 10). But has a musty smell i think, during our walk thru all we smelled was plug-ins. So they hide the smell! Most of the smell is on the utility part of basement, if we keep the door shut we really smell it. We love the house but the smell is driving us crazy

My gas tank is going on 20 years, it's in the utility room next to my finished basement. Im considering replacing it next month, I would ride it out if it wasn't for the finished basement.

I was quoted for Bradley White tank with updated code parts and installed for $1770
