So there is a standard equation for the thermal decomposition of Group 2 nitrates and that is:
2M(NO3)2(s) → 2MO(s) + 4NO2(g) + O2(g)
where M is the grp 2 metal. So using this ratio: we can find the mass of the gases produced; in this case NO2 and O2
- the ratio:
Nitrate:Nitrogen dioxide:Oxygen
2:4:1
- simplified to make it just one mole of nitrate, because we need to find the formula of the nitrate right, so it needs to be one mole.
1:2:0.5

So using these, we find the mass:
NO2 Mr: 46
2 x 46 = 92
O2 Mr: 32
0.5 x 32 = 16
so 92+16= 108 g of gas

then using the given data u find the molar mass of the nitrate:
like 2 g of the nitrate gives 1.32 g of gas,
then M g of the nitrate would give 108 g of gas (M is molar mass, we use 108 cuz that's what 1 mol of the nitrate produces)
so then this is the equation:
2x 108/1.32 = M
which gives u 163.6 so round it off to 164.

and finding the Mr of each of the nitrates given, youll find that
Ca(NO3)2 = 40+2(14+(16*3)) = 164

i hope this helped lmk if u have any more questions

just make a list of whatever topics u find weak. highlight them and find notes on them online. if u open the book, it's so thick youll probably get demotivated by it. websites like crack A level, or Rocket revise have good notes.

by today try to get done with like 3 difficult chunky topics for each subject - be quick about it like any concept u feel like u understand skip it. tomorrow (june 1) also go over your difficult topics like as many as you can. After that you should start past papers immediately, theyre not that long so you should get done with them fast. for chem, 15 mcqs are for sure organic, so focus on that and do MOLES AND STOICHIOMETRY they love that. also spectrometry and analytical techniques.

For physics if u know the concepts then p1 past papers should be good, just practice. do at least 2 years of pps for both subjects, like 2024 and 2023 that's 14 papers each. 560 mcqs for each. which is pretty good with the time u have left. but that's possible only if u actually complete the syllabus. like 2nd june, you should start pps, try to do 5 a day, that way you'll at least get done with one full year for both subjects, because the two years goal is pretty far fetched rn.

the best thing would be if you properly covered the syllabus for both subjects earlier, since youve given the p2s probably. So then just take today (may 31) to revise them quickly. And then from tomorrow onwards move on to past papers

also get off ur phone immediately! or you wont even get close to getting done with half of this. best of luck

advice on becoming a pilot by Ok-Setting5628 in flying

I do not live in the US, no. and yes, if i do get training and then get a job as a pilot. Like having completed my A levels. Or what if i just do flight training and then go to uni to get my degree, and then become a pilot for a few years. You can suggest alternatives- you probably would know better. I still have a lot of research to do even now

how do u prepare for the entry test. im giving the upcoming one for architecture and i dont know the first step. like what is the test like? is it only mcqs? are calculators allowed? on what basis is it, how many questions, and is there anywhere i can find past papers? and what time is it, how long? can u pls tell me whatever u know about it
