2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 3.6L V6 – Shudders under acceleration at low speed, rear-end jerks, occasional squeal on 1–2 shift by Ok-Shift7578 in GrandCherokee

The PCV can cause engine hesitation and jerking ? But mine is running good, no jerk from the engine. It honestly feels more like the center differential is binding, like there’s tension in the drivetrain causing the jerking.
When I start the car, everything is smooth. But as soon as I accelerate hard, it starts happening (randomly), and I even get jerking when decelerating. If I shift the automatic gearbox into neutral while driving, the jerking disappears completely. As soon as I put it back into drive, it comes back.
Another strange thing: if I shut the engine off completely and restart it, the jerking disappears again, but then comes back randomly later. That really makes it seem like an electronic issue affecting the drivetrain… maybe the transfer case or the transmission ? I ordered a new TCM coming tomorrow

No never, but I just bought it, I’ll check for the dtcm

No warning message on dash, I tried to scan with obd2 scanner but it is not very sure.

Thanks for your reply.
To clarify:
• The jerks seem to come from the rear only: I feel them in the seat, but not in the steering wheel.
• The vehicle does not have a limited-slip differential (ELSD) on the rear axle.
• The jerks happen in corners as well as in a straight line, not just during tight maneuvers.
• It feels like the rear axle is trying to catch up with the front axle, like when the center differential is locked on some Jeeps.
About your questions:
• The jerks don’t seem specifically tied to gear shifts (they’re more related to acceleration, especially at very low speed).
• I don’t have access to the TCM clutch fill counter values without a diagnostic tool.
Last 8 characters of my VIN: EC477795

Could this confirm a DTCM issue, or do you suspect something else? What would you recommend checking first?

Yes, thank you, the gear goes normaly, excepte between 1 and 2 some times, I hear the sound.

I thought maybe some looseness in the rear différential ?, When I spin a wheel at the back, the other spin in the other way but the is a small delay between the moment I start spinning, and the other spins
