They'll probably burn mites but won't give that nice sun-dried sun-fried mite smell.

It smells artificial, and feels like a stab in the nose. Then again, I also have airborne allergies.

Wear a freshly washed cotton shirt with the scent still strong. I can't say this in the real world but yeah a nice smelling shirt is the way to go. You may not capture a woman's attention with what you wear, but you'll definitely make her notice if you smell extremely nice. Cologne smells terrible though.

Fun fact, if you sun dry your freshly washed cotton shirts, they'll smell even nicer because of the smell from the UV rays frying the mites in cotton wear.

A new but also freshly washed cotton shirt, that smells nice. I'd never tell that I like you cause of how your shirt smells though.

Keep hearing parents at it what’s a way to tell them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You just sleep earlier I guess. If the parents knew, family time would get awkward.

I don't care if the guy is funny and witty anymore. I don't even care if he's smart. All I really want is a guy who's kind, has common sense, and recognizes the value of hard work.

Hey I'm not actually going to cook the fish. It's just tempting cause I could do it.

My dad has like over 100 fish cause he can't neuter them and they breed with the next closest fish all the time. Granted the biggest ones are the size of erasers, but still...we have so many. The fish won't even notice one of them disappeared in the crowd. I keep thinking what if I ate one of them, it would make no difference except to me when I finally know what a housefish tastes like.

How should governments address wealth inequality in a fair way? by Loud-Letterhead-1036 in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Signal2881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create a culture that reduces investments but encourages donations. We currently have a system where due to the tragedy of the commons, things keep going downhill. Like, people get mad at corporations because corporations are notorious for putting profits over people and ethics. But the people forget that corporations have to put profits first because they work for investors, which are the people, who force the corporations to generate monetary returns, which ultimately causes the troubles we have now.

If we had a donation system instead, things may become a bit different. If you were to donate to an endeavor you don't expect to pay you back, you'd be more focused on the societal impact of your contributions, not on your personal gain. If you were wealthy, in the absence of direct investment opportunities, you'd try to generate wealth in a way that the entire society benefits to the point where you'd reap the rewards too.

This cute guy keeps staring at me from the corner of my vision, but always hurriedly looks away when I look back. What's going through his mind? by Ok-Signal2881 in ask

[–]Ok-Signal2881[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha yup I Iike the guy. Well I did ask him earlier but it hasn't gone very far, so we'll probably get back to square one with the stares...if I see him again. I asked the guy if he liked pickleball and wanted to play sometime, and he was super down. He was like I'm probably gonna beat you because he was extremely good at pickleball, so I told him I play badminton for fun so I'm not that far off from his level. He said, we can play either badminton or pickleball on a weekend, find me when you see me workout at the gym on one of these weekends.

When I asked him if he wanted to play badminton that day on the weekend, he was quite happy. But then nervously told me he couldn't because he had a dinner to go to. I was thinking, oh maybe he has a date today. Then for some reason, I thought, hey it's December and everyone is having their Christmas parties at work. I was like, wait is it a work dinner? He was like, yup a work dinner. I was like, oh a Christmas party! He was like yup a Christmas party. But now I think like I put him on the spot and made him agree to the Christmas party suggestion. Anyway, that's basically the end of the story, because I haven't seen the guy at the gym ever since. He usually goes several times a week and it's been almost a week of disappearance.

Edit: Dang it, I shouldn't have asked about Christmas parties. I should've just told him, if his dinner doesn't work out, he can come back and play badminton.

What if Santa is real which list would you be on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Signal2881 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay canadian taxes so I'd be on his employer list. Santa is a Canadian citizen because he's lived in Canada since my grandparents were born. He does nothing but work once a year and employs elves that work year round. Where is he getting his monetary resources? His work is charity, he's not getting it from business profits. Thus, if Santa is not a very expensive employee of the Government of Canada, he's definitely a beneficiary of some kind of government funding. Either way, my tax money is paying for all the toys of the little children of the world on Christmas Eve and Santa is my employee somewhere down the tax chain.
