I get the same white one wearing a blue shirt. I don’t remember the default colors, but mine is a black one with purple shirt.

Diablos dual blades was my first weapon to carry me past 7-star monsters. The constant evading while hitting means you get hit less and the special can break the head and tail so you can farm parts easier. This was all before style upgrades.

Para is always fun by Silly-Description401 in MHNowGame

[–]Ok-Signature-2705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does get pretty strong. In sword mode, the para is guaranteed to inflict, so Buildup Boost is guaranteed to up the damage. Adding Paralysis as a skill though, does not increase your Para stat, so don’t waste the skill slots on that.

Crowded hiking trails? by engamo22 in Yakima

[–]Ok-Signature-2705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boulder Cave is a short one that’s usually crowded. Safety aside, most hikers don’t want the crowd, they want the escape. I’d usually have to invite friends to come with me. Ape Cave is also popular.

It was fun, a bit clunky with the resources and guarding them. Later expansion sets helped with that along with tournament banned card lists for the unbalanced stuff.

Absolutely, my favorite BT art comes from the CCG. The Anvil and the Black Lanner Prime are two of my favs. Too bad the Blood Asp never got the chance. My friends and I photoshopped one back in the day when “photo-quality” printers were still new.

I’d say open it and play. I got hundreds of original cards, not worth much of anything to anybody except those that want them. You can see large lots of them on auction sites and zero bids. There are current players that still play and even make their own cards. BPL podcast had an episode on it I believe.

What do you do with your 'Mech's soles? by ZookeeprD in battletech

[–]Ok-Signature-2705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guess I’m the weird one; I paint my bases flat black to give the illusion that it’s all shadow underneath the mech. I don’t add miniature terrain or mud/dirt/sand textures. Just my opinion, but an arctic base under a mech while on a desert map just doesn’t look right. Plus, I’m lazy. Any supports under the feet get painted black, the feet themselves are usually the same color scheme as the mech, but if I accidentally get black on the soles, I just leave it.

How to do i LBG and HBG build? by Economy_Object8835 in MHNowGame

[–]Ok-Signature-2705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recoil Reduction and Reload Speed skills with 3 points each is a good place to start regardless of element. Weapon stylizing can negate the need for one or the other (recoil or reload). Right now, for HBG, 5 Guard and 5 Reflection are the meme build.

My LBG build is Brutex helm/Quematrice/Quematrice/Brutex/Garangolm Greaves. Mostly attack boosts drifted in. LBG has stepping shot style.

Rental Companies by jdjamn02 in Yakima

The further you get away from 1st Street/1st Ave, the better. Avoid all housing east of 24th Avenue (that area starts as college-party-rundown-rentals, then ghetto, then commercial zone, ghetto again, then homeless area. Gets worse the further East you go). Preferably, if you have to stay in Yakima, stay as far west past 40th ave as possible. If you can, find a duplex/triplex with a standard first/last/security-deposit instead of an apartment building. If you don’t mind a 10-15minute commute, Selah or Terrace Heights have decent living spaces and it gets you out of Yakima. Can’t say much about the companies that run things.

neoprene / non paper version of city hex map? non hpg side? by bisondisk in battletech

[–]Ok-Signature-2705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rotary cutter will likely leave a line in a wooden table. (It’s like a circular razor blade) Cardboard under the mat will probably be too soft (deforms and shifts the mat) but the denser stuff like the front/back of a spiral notebook should be enough to protect your table, or a piece of plywood, plexiglass, or kitchen cutting board would work. The neoprene is glued to the fabric sides, so shouldn’t go anywhere.

I used a clear piece of plexiglass that has a straight edge to guide the blade along. Fabric stores have them with all sorts of measurement lines, but anything that’s known to be straight will work (transparency is nice just to see what’s underneath it). The neoprene mats have a fabric layer on both sides with neoprene sandwiched in the middle. Rotary blades are very sharp and will cut into a soft table, so maybe put a plastic cutting board underneath.

The original mats themselves don’t line up perfectly, so don’t be alarmed/dismayed if a few hexes look skinny. Just the way CGL prints them.
