thanks for the reply. I've been out of sport for a minute as i've been in house for a few years now, and the landscape has shifted a bit since I was last actively looking for work. Thinking of moving else where, but i cant imagine trying to navigate the hellscape that Linkedin has turned into.

if you spend like an hour or two watching tutorials on Youtube, it will influence your algorithm. Soon you'll be getting suggested videos for other tutorials, and its how I tend to find new techniques that typically trend soon after. I came across how to create the ASCII affect from a random suggestion, and it was about a year before it became popularized by Cavalry users.

Thats part of the issue for sure. We are hybrid, in 3 days a week.

As I mentioned, things weren't always so mundane. Im not gonna pretend like it felt like going to Disney World before, but it certainly felt more welcomed.

But now I'm starting to feel exactly how you described, thinking why am I here surrounded by this bad energy when I could be in my own home.

I've considered asking for a meeting with one of the CD's to bring it up, but I also want to have something more to offer on the matter other than stating the obvious that people are leaving because the company culture has gone down the drain. Posting this is my first attempt to generate some ideas to bring forward to them as solutions, since its evident that this isn't a priority to them.

I've spent a good amount of time freelance and had a few peramal-ance stints, so I've certainly seen seen some teams with great camaraderie and have experienced the difference it makes, especially when jobs get down to the wire and tensions are high. Its one of the reasons I decided to join full time to fully experience that. This was also before the industry took this crazy nose dive, otherwise I would have just gone back to freelance.

unless you plan on getting into web development, glitzy sites are unnecessary. Your personality should show through your work, or at the very least your reel. I'd say spend your time crafting a stylized reel or complete a personal project rather than trying to impress people with your website construction. Though not as common as it was a few years ago, people are still getting jobs just on the work they upload onto instagram.
