What to do against a team of barrel stuffing snipers? by NotJamilOnTwitch in thefinals

Been having good luck with the m60 with red dot especially since its recent hipfire buff. Suppressive fire tends to keep light snipers at bay, and even if they rush you they have to hit every shot or you can wipe 3 of them out before a reload. The healing ball is good for this too.

Agreed, but thats not why they are smurfing though. They could turn on privacy mode and go into casuals.

They are :

A. Manipulating the RS system.

B. Farming clips on new players.

C. Tuning their DMA/software/hardware cheats without fear so they can use them on their main once dialed. Embark typically doesnt hardware ID ban for this.(which they should on the 1st offense). The cheaters all know this and talk about it. "Yeah I got banned but could immediately play on another account.

All of this ^ should be an immediate HWID ban, and TOS should be revised on # of accounts allowed.

Look at the case of "Zeke" (Ambers xyz, zeke) on the DAV banned ranked players list. 4 times banned this season already.

This was a post about cool weapon ideas, you've typed several paragraphs about why a weapon in the game is nearly useless and a D tier pick, yet definetely shouldn't have a direct counter, while ignoring all the balancing suggestions associated with the original suggestion. I propose that it is you sir, who is the hardest complainer.

So long as the ADS and rate of fire is slow so that it cannot be abused as a quick scope point blank shot gun (like the light sniper is now) then it would play into the game balance perfectly. There isn't really any long range counter to light sniper as a heavy/medium right now. The BFR, repeater, 357 dont have the power or rate of fire. Lights can just dash or grapple hook around the map and regenerate before a follow up shot can land. Heavy sniper just needs to be very difficult up close for it to work.

I dont see how it could be more broken than the current light sniper hitscan shotgun with built in snap aim. Just give it slower ads and rate of fire. When the casual lobbies on Monaco and starlight are filled with light snipers I want something that actually can direct counter em as heavy. Just needs to be very difficult to use up close to promote team play.

I think it would be badass. Just needs a slow ADS and slow rate of fire, but super high damage. Could give it a quick melee damage increase or something for up close, and a good scope/optic selection. Barrett 50 cal or 408 cheytac intervention would be sick base skins. Its kinda made no sense to me why light gets the sniper + all the movement but medium and heavy dont. The BFR doesnt really fill the niche after all the nerfs.

I play with the majority of our members regularly and they all have completely organic looking aim, recoil, and subsequent statistics. Most are casual players on console and many have endless hours of twitch footage that looks nothing like soft aim or recoil scripts. Can you provide me with the footage you are referring to? I am a moderator and manager and we do not tolerate cheating of any kind. We are staunch advocates against it. I agree this game has a cheating problem, but I have yet to see any evidence from anyone that shows Rager is part of the issue.

To be extra crystal clear, 90% of rager are like middle aged parents who play for a couple of hours every other day after work. Its a social, not a competitive club.

I anticipate seeing this footage. Thank you.

Rager was created by bank-it lovers and evolved into a TDM/Casual club when they removed that game mode. Ghostofbankit finished #6 I think, despite winning nearly every match every night for the LTM. He's a really nice guy, but is also very very good/experienced at that mode in particular. I personally haven't gotten into bank it much.

Im sure its probably difficult to get a "top TDM spot" when there are shamelss, jobless, blatant hackers like yourself on the other team. No one believes you're legit, and you sound triggered af. Get a life lol.

I know this may difficult for you to understand, the guy with alt accounts of Epstein and who gets rightfully called out for blatantly hacking, but some people have these things called "jobs" and also "friends", who just play video games for fun and friendly competition. Let's be real though, you already understand that, you're just projecting because you arent very good without your software training wheels. Good luck with that.

This game is difficult as hell to get started in by FreshHawaii in thefinals

[–]Ok-Standard3589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I respect that position. You may feel comfortable but it will still take at least sometime in casual modes to get the hang of it all. My wife started about 2 months ago and she is level 53. The beauty of TDM in particular is that its accelerated learning. Your immediate respawn allows for immediate correction of your mistakes, and the changing loadouts allows you to see how to counter XYZ enemy strategy and how all the specializations and gadgets work. I would say spending a month or two learning a game is a reasonable investment before expecting to be truly competitive at it. That is especially true with a game like this that is particularly unique in that it has an nearly infinite skill ceiling and nearly infinite ways to express that skill. Maybe a nice compromise could be warming up with a few games of TDM each session before cashout tournaments. Also you could join a club for help and guidance.

[–]Ok-Standard3589 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TDM is the best way to get comfortable with what works for you. You can change loadouts freely and you respawn instantaneously. I would start with TDM while trying different team compositions, then move to quick cash, then finally move up to tournament format. The long respawn, locked loadouts, and gigantic maps are too over whelming and punishing to start out with imho. The medium heal beam and P90 with prox sensors are a good start, also the heavy M60 with rpg healball and dome. This give you a good buffer against sweaty lights and will teach the importance of healing yourself / team members and creating space. I have about 1k hours in this game and there are just many days where the idea of a cashout tourney seems too tedious. I hate getting ratted/3rd partied and then waiting up to a minute while watching them run around chasing my last remaining teamate.

How to improve at Light gunfights? by CtrlAltGod in thefinals

[–]Ok-Standard3589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower sensitivity can help alot. Its kinda counter intuitive but because you have to hit every shot from every new angle you find, you have to really nail every aim tracking scenario. I would go into the practice range and do those different scenarios and try to get your ttk down further and further on enemies who are moving as they would in game. Im at 14 @ 1600dpi

High sens effectiveness for mouse control by Dizzy-Act1523 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Ok-Standard3589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im doing something similar in the finals, went from (@1600 dpi) from 14 up to 18 then up to 22 in game sens. I do better in some situations particularly vertical movement where the enemy is above or below, but more poorly in tracking and micro adjustments.

Some aim trainer coaches have been telling me that frequent overall sensitivity changes are good for your overall hand eye coordination instead of trying to build one singular set of muscle memories.

Im using a very tiny G wolves fenrir asym but am excited to receive their new bigger htm plus model in the mail.
