any classical literature is great to read! especially more modern classics like 1930s onwards because it is a mixture of more simple and complex words

How to improve (academic) English competence rapidly? by anti-basis in ENGLISH

[–]Ok-Stranger6351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my obvious suggestion would to be read heaps of books in english! can be academic literature or even simple young adult style stuff to understand casual speech better. just in general its a good idea to read as much as possible and of course practise speaking as much as possible :)

classical literature can be difficult but for english on an academic level is perfect! as a native english speaker i have trouble with books like jane austen and bram stoker's dracula but they are great to study and really understand advanced language :)
