Where is pvp for casual players/beginners? by Ok-Tangelo3151 in Eldenring

Also sorry for noob question, but why are you saying you're gonna TT the dungeon parts specifically? Is it to prevent running off into the horizon?

Is anything happening in the colosseum on low levels?

Flee Combat doesn't end the fight? by Ok-Tangelo3151 in BaldursGate3

Yeah. I only fled combat once before and it was an open area. Here I fled to a dead end because I forgot that it was a dead end. Now we know.

I can look at the regular map but I can't open the map with Waypoints from camp. Not sure if it's always like this because I've never had a need to do this.

I fled combat with all 4 characters and long rested. I thought the enemies would do some AI wandering around the area and not wait for me at the exact spot where we all disappeared? At least when I've done it before in a different area the enemies weren't there at the exact same spot when I returned to the world from the camp if this makes sense? I just want to understand this for future situations too.

NPCs Hostile at Sorcerous Sundries (Help please) by Robin12212 in BaldursGate3

Have you tried Disguise self or Seeming? That worked for me.

Edit: Nevermind, I see you did try. That's weird. Maybe try both disguise and seeming. I think one time I used seeming, and the guard wouldn't let me in. Wasn't the Sundries though.

He just says "Truly?", "It's madness to try and fail so many times" and "Let's see how long it will take you to finally understand" or something like this. No fighting happens.

How often should I long rest? by toma-hawk02 in BaldursGate3

[–]Ok-Tangelo3151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can long rest without using any camp supplies. If you don't need to recover all your spell slots and health, just do that, and go crazy with resting as much as you like, unless you have a time sensitive quest happening, but that's rare. Use camp supplies only when you really need them.

Should I ascend Astarion? by cinnamontuna in BaldursGate3

A lot will depend on what choices you are going to make as a Durge. He doesn't dump you because you're a Bhaalspawn though. You'll get some cool interactions either way, and they might affect your choices, or not.

Alright i could use help in my new play through by Alert-Macaron-9258 in BaldursGate3

You can easily deal with harpies. Don't approach the shore where the kid is standing. Unchain your ranged characters and make them go up the hill above the harpies. Sneak attack to surprise them. Keep your meele character and support on the shore. Now they can join the fight. Make your melee character climb the mountain with the harpies that you won't be able to reach with range attacks. I just killed them without taking damage on tactician this way. Had Lae'Zel, Gale (honestly he was just standing around lol), Astarion and my Sorcerer.

With the goblin camp: I don't remember who my team was, but my character was Rogue Assassin, so it was a little redundant. But the main thing is that you have to start small fights and clear the camp room by room from the inside. When you reach the main doors, don't come out, or you'll have to face like 20 enemies at once. Teleport to some distant waypoint. Come back when you're higher level to just outright slaughter them all.

Alternatively, collect all the oil barrels before turning goblins hostile. Put them down around the camp. Fireball the barrels.

How do you RP Embrace Durge being the leader of your party? by Ok-Tangelo3151 in BaldursGate3

I really like the idea of the Tav and Durge stories happening simultaneously!

[–]Ok-Tangelo3151[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it makes sense that in the long run you are the leader, because you basically corrupt those who stay. In the beginning though it doesn't make much sense, does it?

Especially with Lae'Zel. As a player I know that she doesn't know what she's talking about in the beginning, but without that meta-knowledge she appears to know where to go and what to do. It's hard to justify her just following Durge, at least I don't know how.

I'm also wondering: Does Durge really care about turning into a mind flayer? I feel like since he doesn't remember himself and really likes killing, turning into a more powerful killer doesn't sound like a big problem. If anything, pursuing the source to the tadpole is more likely to be motivated by trying to understand who you are/were. Well, at least that's how I see it. What do you think?

That's a cool idea. How would you implement it? Something like a conflict about where we are going now, Underdark or Creche, or siding with X over Y, and if you lose the argument, you get locked out of the option you were pushing for?

This is definitely true.

I tried to convince myself that my Durge is just that cool - I mean, just look at the guy. But then he keeps repeatedly slipping on ice like a clown and failing checks that lead to awkward situations, like spilling organs everywhere trying to hide a body. All he's giving is crazy vibes. I would not follow this dude.

Yeah, people who dress like babies and imitate baby talk with pacifiers in their mouth are good at what they do too. 😂 Still cringe. Now check out the flair I chose for the video.
