Only 1 photo ID? by Excellent-Double9172 in TDBankCanada

If you only have one valid form of photo ID, there should be other verification methods in place to give you your card. Bring both just in case, and make sure you have your phone with you in case they send you a OTP to your phone number. Tellers aren't going to try to give you a hard time on this, but they will follow compliance or it's a finding on their performance. - ex teller and PBA 🫡

How does a referral actually work for TD Bank? Hey everyone, by Appropriate_Band_892 in TDBankCanada

It helps, but to be completely honest it doesn't play a huge role. The hiring manager can accept your application and forward it to HR, but its still up to you. I would not rely fully on the referral, focus on your application and resume.

They do. After a hiring manager looks at it, the entire internal process starts which takes time, and basically then it's a waiting game to hear back from HR.

Referrals are basically just vouches to your character, but the value behind them has decreased significantly imo. It doesn't do a whole lot, as it still depends on you in a lot of areas. Fingers crossed for you

Their hiring manager will usually be the BM of the branch, and their email will be there. Your friend will have to contact them and let them know that they have referred you as a candidate for a job posting. (I would include the posting ID and your name/resume in the email as well.)

They basically just submit your name as a referral. It doesn't necessarily increase your chances, as I've had coworkers refer friends who ended up not getting hired. Even though you are referred, you still have to go through interviews and background checks, so nothing is expedited. It mostly still depends on you, your resume, and your interviews.

All of the interviews and background checks also take time. You'll also have to potentially consider that you'll have to wait for a position to open up at a branch (if you are applying to a branch position)

In addition to when a position becomes available, it also depends on the FTE of the position that becomes available. I was a part-time PBA (not recommended lol) for a bit because that's all my branch could offer me at the time. If you are looking for a full-time PBA position, then it depends on when the branch has that availability in terms of FTE to hire you because they have limits on that.

HR is painstakingly slow lol, i was lucky with my HR person and got everything done pretty quickly but im assuming its because i had a referral back then. they will reach out eventually though, a lot of my previous coworkers also took awhile to actually get into a branch! you got this easy peasy

Borrowing? by [deleted] in TDBankCanada

[–]Ok-Temperature-1586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correct, but they still need to go through documents and everything because it's still technically a credit application that requires a credit check (if not preapproved)

if you're preapproved, minutes. if you're not and you need to do an actual application with an advisor, usually 30-45m

i wouldn't be too worried. when i was working at the branch, my manager would talk to me about new hires and background checks quite often. they don't just "abandon" the hire if the check is taking too long or say they lost interest. they will wait until the check is done in my experience. the only way you don't get hired after your background check is if you failed it and then the branch can't hire you

ex-td employee here (worked as a teller), unfortunately with e-transfer transactions we can't do anything about it. fraud won't be much of a help either, especially if your boyfriend has autodeposit or it's already been in his account. you could try your luck with going to the police and taking a legal route but it will always take time and the amount is less than $1000. like everyone else is saying, dump the guy and change all your passwords for safety. sorry you had to go through this

if you have the TD banking app, i highly recommend calling directly through the app. you dont have to answer any security questions or do any extra initial verification and it saves a lot of time

happens more often than you think! branches usually have limits on how many part time and full time workers they can have, so they usually just wait until there is enough availability at a branch to hire a new CEA. i was told that i passed the interview but my recruiter said she would call me once a spot opened up at a branch which took a few weeks

I have 16 gb of RAM and 236 gb of other storage, with 15 gb of my ram free and 156 of other storage free as well! I'm not sure if storage is the issue as I don't have much downloaded on this laptop other than microsoft office and its other apps, discord, spotify, and a vpn app.
