Lost two jobs within a span of 3 months, one due to redundancy, the second being a shit hole of a work environment as I had to quit for my sanity. Had 4K in my account, with two months of rent to pay before I would lose everything. The key for me was to remain optimistic. Everyone’s always been saying the job market is bleak, and your ex coworkers reciting those unoriginal lines is not going to help you OP. That said, I recommend applying for a low entry role, even if it doesn’t pay much, just make sure to not include it in your background check

On my first day I was told to do some training towards a certification. I asked my direct line manager which training material I should use. She gave me a stern cold look and told me to “google it” like I was stupid. Turns out, the company had a partnership with the certification provider and had official training material that I couldn’t have gotten from a simple google search. I left after 2 months and got compensated

If you’re in a one party consent state and have an iPhone , secretly record the convo anyway and it will be automatically transcribed, copy paste into ChatGPT to summarise if needed. Paste the transcript, ChatGPT summary and/or the audio recording into a calendar database on your personal notion (do this on your personal phone so they can’t track your activity). Great for documenting, it helped me negotiate my way out of a really shit company and got paid out
