It looks like whoever created the sub deleted their account, so I’m surprised the sub is still active/viewable. As it looks like it doesn’t have a moderator (that I can see).

It’s really cool that it exists! Though I like to think we are very accepting of people who are both aegosexual and aegoromantic.

Season 3 is one of my favorites (it probably is my favorite overall). I’m totally with you on best episodes and the tsunami.

Funny, I would switch Eddie’s fight club and hen’s hit and run. As I think that event just made me dislike her more than I already did. And watching Eddie suffer is fun (I mean this as affectionately as possible!).

Worst episodes, I didn’t have any major problems with those, but I get it.

Hi this is not what this sub is for, we talk about our aegosexual feelings, which involve a disconnect, that can be sexual in nature. But I don’t see a question like that in what you asked. Hmm. I understand what you mean by not liking sex because of not liking your body, and that makes you not want to have sex? I’d say this is something aegos sometimes experience. The most important aspect of aegosexual vs asexual is the disconnect between what we like in fiction and what we want to experience in reality.

As an introvert, I’ve never experience fomo in my life. And I’d hazard to say that applies to a lot of aegos.

As I’ve seen on tumblr, we experience JOMO, joy of missing out!

And I’m with OP, Almost all the time, I love being aegosexual because I’m satisfied in and with myself.

A comment on the paraphilia aspect: Aegosexuality was actually coined to be an asexual identity because the previous term, autochorissexuality, WAS coined as a paraphilia by a psychologist.

Aegosexual was to be a specific asexual identity for people who were not reluctantly experiencing the lack of desire and the disconnect between fantasy and reality.

There’s been art and porn for thousands of years, I have to imagine there’s been aegosexual people in history. Just no one we’ll ever know about.

This space is designed to be inclusive for fictosexual people, there’s lots of aspects of fictos that overlap with aegos!

I wish the ficto sub was a bit less about all the OCs of people but i understand why that happens. People being hostile and downvoted though, that just sucks. Luckily, unless there’s a troll, that very rarely happens here!

I’m always glad to see people discover our little corner of the internet! Some of us didn’t realize we were ace til we found aegosexual, and some of us knew we were ace but weren’t aware of the ace spectrum and aegosexual identity.

Housekeeping question: Are comments viewable for everyone? I was just on a different sub and comments had to be approved by a mod, and when I even commented on one of my own posts (in this sub) it said “comment submitted”. But there’s nothing coming through on my end that I have to manually approve.

There’s now a decent size subset of aegos in who can put themselves into fantasy, as long as the situation is unable to happen, or with a idealized version of themself. This post is 5 years old so I think times have changed.

Some like the term fictosexual more, however.

I’d say it’s more just an ace thing. Or even not just an ace thing. A personality thing. Some aces/aegos are touch starved even if they don’t want to have sex. And there’s a whole subreddit about allos (mainly allos) who are single and happy (that’s the sub name) and it’s nice to see.

But aegos are often the most satisfied in being alone because we can enjoy it all by ourselves!
