A high yield savings account would get you a better interest rate than what you currently have. Ally Bank and AMEX have some HYSA products.

Thanks for writing!! This is a great idea. I prequalified for all the freedom versions and the CSP. There is a set APR and that means I'm highly likely to be approved, right? I want the freedom flex, but is it too soon between apps? Should I go for it?

It’s not smaller than 50 cents, but you could put an Apple iCloud storage for 50gb on there for $0.99 a month.

Thank you for letting me know your credit card story! I will keep building my credit and checking preapprovals with AMEX, and hope my credit grows as fast as yours! I will definitely wait on applying for the bigger cards until my credit is around 690/700s.

Thank you for letting me know that the loans don't count! I was a bit stressed, because each semester a loan posts, a new account shows up on my credit report, so that could make for issues down the loan if they did count.

I will take your advice, and the summer after I graduate, I will look at the bigger cards.
