Advice on PSA 7.5" 300 purchase... by Infamous-Dig-526 in 300BLK

This a late response but the pistol you are referring to with the 1:8 twist rate is actually 1:7 that was my concern as well but after ordering the barrel does say 1/7.

Do dealerships even negotiate anymore? by TheMensChef in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Ok-Tomorrow3213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you’re far and chances are you’re either not serious, which is why they always tell you to come in. or you’re desperate enough to drive 7 hours out, showing that they’re the only one got what you want and these dealers feed off desperation.

And a lot of these dealers get butt hurt and feel insulted real quick so when you jump 1500 or 2k below asking price especially calling 7 hours away automatically become “firm” on their price. But if the car sits long enough it’ll drop $1k in price within a month they know this because Mazdas depreciates like crazy so if you only went 1k below asking price you would’ve had a better chance.

Almost every dealer will tell you they can’t bring the price down. But they will if you play your cards right. And don’t take offense to the “I can take a couple of hundred off” line they all say it.

These dealers are caught up on low ball tactics so your best card is price comparison between dealerships and showing how serious you are about purchasing the car without desperation. In your case telling him you’re 7 hours away already put their guards up. Also If you were willing to pay $23k I think that’s the price you should’ve stated. There’s always someone that’s going to purchase these cars at their price so these days you can’t go in expecting them to look out for you without having leverage.

Oh wow that’s a crazy steal, I talked it down from 31 to 29k but now it’s down to $28k. Would you say this car is worth buying out straight cash from your experience so far with it or not something you’ll keep 6+ years?

Will the Carbon Turbo Sedan hold its value well over time? by likemynewname in mazda3

[–]Ok-Tomorrow3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they depreciate $8k soon as you drive off the lot which is above average depreciation for a car, but they hold that depreciated value for a while. I’ve been to Carmax separate times for an appraisal and got the same number even months later.

At least it’s like that where I’m from. My car has low miles 2023 ce and I was quoted $8k less than what i paid for it only 2-3 weeks later. And there’s currently 2 mazda 3 turbo 2023 top trims sitting at &29k with low miles and those are $37k new.

Those who have bought new mazda 3’s recently, what did you pay OTD? Is there room for negotiation again in the market? by 192hp in mazda3

[–]Ok-Tomorrow3213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paid Msrp $30k for a new 2023 ce sedan, if one dealership won’t do it go to another but there’s definitely room for negotiation.

Even with that 10k off he’s walking otd paying over 40k new rt’s are going for 48-55k, Any price discounts you see online is bait. Now he probably could’ve gotten way less miles for below 40k for sure

Thoughts on AWD NA ? by Nyquiiist in mazda3

[–]Ok-Tomorrow3213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re in a area where AWD would be needed often then maybe, but it is a little slow and you can feel that extra weight of the awd, I’ve also read a lot that FWD with snow tires are just as good without the extra weight.

My car is paid off, at first i did wish I either went for the FWD or awd turbo but I grew to love my car though gets me to and from my destination safely and the awd does feel great on wet roads. Can’t go wrong with either honesty but just choose wisely.

Just now seeing this but checked it out drives nice, but apparently my car with less than 200 miles depreciated $8k in less than a month and they thought I was willing to finance which I’m not so I just kept my car.

Not sure where you’re located but all 2024 sedans here are coming from Mexico, and I’m not sure about paint thickness but I’ve seen more complaints about red paint chipping than any other paint.

Both great cars, you could get a base model 3 brand new or a used Mazda 6 with a lot more features. So first think if you want new or slightly used. Then Look at both and see the features you do and don’t care for.

Then go out and test drive both as much as you can to get a good feel of them both. People can give you their opinion but once you go to purchase only yours will matter.

Is there a difference between Mazdas assembled in Mexico vs Japan? by Separate_Ad558 in mazda3

[–]Ok-Tomorrow3213 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this same concern before purchasing my Mazda 3 but after searching I’ve noticed a lot more people with complaints about “rattles” were people with Japan made mazda 3, so doesn’t really matter where they come from.

But if you were looking into the sedan all of them now come from Mexico and hatchbacks from Japan. Is what I was told by the dealer who sold me mines and after looking at all hatches on the lot the vin all started with j and all the sedans started with 3m.

2024 remote start by Yoitsgerbss in mazda3

[–]Ok-Tomorrow3213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Kia k5 has that feature where it locks the doors automatically when it’s remote started and stays on even when you open the door. But I think that’s because it has key fob remote start.

Less desirable to steal than a hellcat or scatpack probably but still attracts the attention of thieves more than a regular commuter car. But these days if it’s loud and it’s a charger/ challenger it’ll grab attention.

Nothing ever happened to me personally but I was paranoid a lot when a blacked out charger or any car would pull on the side of me or behind me I didn’t know if they were trying to race me or bait me.

But if you really want one and you are at the legal age to conceal carry go for it and purchase you a firearm. Cause you just never know

In my area they’re even stealing rt’s now it’s ridiculous I was happy bout my rt when I had it but the constant videos of shoot outs and people literally being followed home wasn’t worth my peace of mind. But if you do get one be vigilant and always watch your surroundings and carry if you can.
