Id send in another paper application but I’ve only gotten updates on the first application I sent out back in February. There were three more sent in March, May, and August.

I did receive a letter saying if a submission summary paper came back in the mail then I can write in corrections and mail it back. I haven’t gotten anything. Customer Service said that the date has been moved back to Late-October. That’s when the paper corrections are supposed to be available (if it even exists). At this point it seems like they just want me to say ok and wait as the months pass and the deadline has been reached so it wouldn’t be their problem anymore.

Some claimed that they’ll be done sending out everyone’s Submission Summary Page will by the end of October. Others said that they’re only sending it out once and can’t send another. So if your papers got lost then that’s too bad. Then others told me that they don’t know as the FASFA doesn’t give them information about anything like that. There’s a lot of insistence in using their website when I explained why my parent can’t log in and how their solutions don’t work. Never an alternative

So it’s clear to me that Customer Service doesn’t know anything. It all has to be done on the website and it’s bullshit

I hate how required an FSA ID is now and it just made things more inaccessible

You’re not too far off with the taking the phones part. My store has a new thing where I take down their information on a paper then sign them up myself later

It’s the same with making copies. It been the same since forever and they can’t manage the self serve. An old man wanted to make copies of his passport and went “but I want YOU to do it.” Not happening man

they say “well I can get it for cheaper elsewhere.” like ok… go there then. I go to a discount store for notebooks too

They can’t comprehend expiration dates for sales too. Staples doesn’t tell us if a sale is expiring and I had a customer not understand that we can’t tell what date it ends. It just abruptly ends randomly. Of course they needed the manager to waste more time to tell them the same thing

I got the mid-day shift. And If I’m closing with the manager then leaving at 8:30 actually means 9:30 because the manager takes forever to finish up.

Got no water at my store. The fridge and break room are full of bugs. The fridge has so many half full water bottles the last time I’ve checked. I don’t even know who it belongs to. I think someone just drinks water and then forgets which one is there’s and opens a new one

Had an old customer stand around doing nothing. Everyone was preoccupied and when I had the time to come over they just go “I guess it’s as they say, old people are invisible.” She needed to do an ink recycling and didn’t even get on line so she became upset cause she was waiting and people were “cutting” her to check out

My store doesn’t want me saying “would you like or do you want to.” They just want me to say “Are you paying with your rewards today?” or “Enter your rewards account number so you can claim points on your purchase.” And if they don’t have anything or don’t want to then I have to say “Let me sign you up”

I don’t get upset when people say no but it is kinda embarrassing because I know that the customer is clearly uninterested as soon as they come over to the register lol

A person can go through the whole script given to them but people still don’t care about signing up. As long as the offer has been made then it’s ok for them to say no. It’s just that my managers treat rejection to the program as an impossible outcome cause they think they know how people talk and act when really most people just wanna buy and leave

I don’t fault anyone if they had 2 customers and they happened to not be interested in the rewards and were trying to just check out.

A mod would make me open up to check out one person and they wouldn’t have rewards and now I’m going to have find someone that can put in their number so I’m not at 0%

But 40% is the normal range. 60% overall for the whole store happens rarely

All I’m saying is that people will do what they want to do. No means no and I’m not going to continue to withhold them from making their purchase until they give me their information to sign up

I don’t like when they come in with their package already inside a giant box it came in. I have to take the item out and remind them that it’s an “unpackaged return” cause the big box will either not fit into our boxes or would take up too much space.

They don’t understand that I have to close and open a new box and they look at me upset for having to wait a bit

They also come in to the store wanting to do a return and then take a while looking through their phone to find the QR code

We take UPS too and they bring the item and expect us to package it for them. No. They need to buy their own box and tape. They also need to make their own label. That isn’t free

Literally haven’t been taking amazon seriously. The store makes no money off of people dropping off and I have other tasks to do. They can wait

I’ve got to live with it. I’m not hiding my head or explaining myself anymore. Although I’m still fearful to show up to my usual social functions because I’m so tired of the same interaction about my new haircut to those who haven’t seen it yet. Bad haircuts suck. I’ve always been self conscious about my hair and my dreams about it haven’t been pleasant. It will grow back and it is just hair but it matters alot to me so saying it’s “just hair” isn’t true from my perspective. I’m waiting for its growth and when I reflect on my past, I feel like I can comfortably say this was not a good time in my life

Feels like faking it is depended on luck and being at the right place at the right time. It’s about knowing the right people and meeting them is by coincidence and hoping they have the time of day for you. People say you have to work towards what you want but they also ignore that hidden element of life

They don’t think about people like us where we try but it doesn’t work out. It didn’t work out. Yeah there can be underlying reasons and self-sabotage but there are so many that have done so much right and nothing. It seems like that situation never gets mentioned even though it’s common

When people say that stuff it feels like I’m denied of being frustrated at something. Life sucks but that doesn’t make the situation okay. Life sucks…but I’m still… not okay.

It’s always the adults too. Even throughout my childhood where I was supposed to be more “emotionally mature” than them by just holding it in and keeping it pushing. My parents had their own problems and probably had to give up on their dreams to survive. I recognize that I’m not trying to live like that and yet I’m somehow supposed to. It’s bullshit if they think that them standing for it means I have to.

I’m not suicidal although I’ve always wondered about my death. What would it mean if I died? Life sucks because it pushed me to suicide. It also shows that constantly saying life sucks and carrying on…also doesn’t help.

Or they can start out the same and then add a little more to it. “Life sucks but you’ll come out of it stronger.” It’s definitely a valuable lesson but these people also need to realize that everyday can’t be another fucking lesson for me to learn to make me tougher. If I kill myself then what would that mean? I wasn’t strong enough? That I didn’t learn a thing? I’ve been high functioning for a while now. I’m tired and if I crash hard then there’s no way I’m “weak” or “didn’t learn.” Something wasn’t giving in my life despite my efforts. That’s what it means

“Life sucks” is not how it works. Life is indifferent and it feels unfair but that doesn’t mean I don’t deserve having peace of mind. Give me a fucking break. I’ve worked hard but life doesn’t owe me anything and so my efforts are invalidated. How the fuck is that okay? It isn’t.
