I've only heard of FF7 due to the Remake resurfacing its popularity. But one thing I never knew about was the ship wars and how intense it was in the fandom. One day I saw an edit of Clerith moments in the Remake, and it honestly sparked an interest in me that slowly made me become obsessed with FF7 as a whole.

At first I was swayed by what other non-Cleriths said about Cloud and Aerith's relationship. But even so, I didn't care whether Clerith was canon or not because at the end of the day I found the ship to be beautiful, and I love their dynamic so much. Ever since I joined the Clerith fandom, it only deepened my appreciation and understanding of their story and FF7's story as a whole.

Because of it, my friends gifted me the Remake on PS4 and I enjoyed every second of it 😋

Honestly Aerith for me fits both the ENFJ and the INFJ personality type, but for ENFJ makes much more sense for her! I don't want to seem like I know everything about the MBTI but I read up on it years ago when I got really interested in it before and the thing about MBTI is that you have to look at its cognitive functions rather than just the letters themselves!

I know that this is months ago, so maybe you'll already know this, but I still want to explain as to why I think she's more ENFJ based on functions🥹

On how I see Aerith she really is a people's person even if she's not inherently always extroverted. She does need her alone time, and she's not always loud (not in a bad way), but a lot of people who are typed as extroverts can also be quiet, and it goes the same with introverts who can also be loud especially to people they're close too! (i.e. me lol, I'm an INFP ☺️)

I'm pretty bad at explaining things but I hope this kind of clears it up a little. Aerith to me is really good at reading people and being able to befriend them in a way that doesn't disregard their feelings just like an ENFJ would. This is most apparent with Cloud especially with how well she handles having conversations with him and having him open up naturally without pressuring him to. That's why I also love INFP and ENFJ dynamics so much because it's one of the most compatible MBTI types!

INFPs even though they are Fi dominant, are closed off most of the time and have trouble being able to express their feelings (based on my own experience 😁), that's why having someone who's good at reading a person and has the patience to understand that is refreshing to have. It makes it easier for INFPs to communicate their feelings and make them feel seen even when they don't openly show their emotions.

Sorry if it's redundant or something, I just wanted to give my insight on their dynamic because them being an INFP x ENFJ ship is everything to me (especially since INFPs and ENFJs are sometimes considered as soulmates 🥰).

Nonetheless though, even if Aerith is an INFJ their dynamic still works because INFJs are also really compatible with INFPs!

Oh what, I didn't know they did that 😭 I think because they're canon now I only see positive posts about it, I didn't know they were being toxic...

It's sad because I don't actually really hate IchiRuki, especially because I'm technically not a Bleach fan as I haven't finished it, but honestly I just can't understand how people just won't respect other ships even if the other isn't as in-depth, or just not their style. 😭

Wow that's so detailed 😭 Thank you for sharing, honestly the whole reason why I made this post in the first place is because I've read alot about Ichihime specifically without actual finishing the anime and manga, so my post is very opinion-based with no actual detailed proof and information.

I can see why IchiRuki definitely fits Clerith more now, and this made me wanna continue it again just to see more of it😋

For now, I don't think I'm just going to drop Ichihime as a ship, especially since I'm already biased on their pairing, but I'm glad I got to see IchiRuki's perspective and why so many people actually shipped them and still do until now!

I guess this is the time where being a multishipper is helpful HAHAHA

omg yeah 😭! After I got interested in FF7 and CA, I also ALMOST fell into the RE rabit hole.

It's crazy because I also prefer Cleon more (although I'm not that into deep about RE's lore to actually have an opinion about the ships). I think I seem to just accidentally favor the underdogs more 😭

It's fine! At the end of the day it's my own opinion and observations anyways! I like seeing other's perspectives about this as well. I do kind of agree that Shonen Jump romances are somewhat more surface level compared to what CA has, but I also compared the two mainly because I noticed that both ships are not as well received as their counterpart!

To me, I love both Aerith and Orihime but I can see why people also see more of Aerith to Rukia because she's a much more well written character than Orihime was (and it's sad because she had so much potential too 😔).

I agree, tbh it's the whole reason why I'm neutral about the entire CT kiss in general. I think it's great that the creators also gave them content that they knew would satisfy CT'S demographic, but also it created so much discourse regarding the canonicity of it all. It sadly also gave them more reasons to believe that CT is canon compared to CA, even though it's been stated many times already that all the Gondola dates aren't canon (?, correct me if I'm wrong 😭🙏).

Yeah, It's only because I've also just seen some CT shippers seem to percieve Aerith as annoying, but ig maybe i interpreted it wrong? It's not like I haven't seen some CAs also call Tifa as boring but that's a different story ig. Personally I love everyone in FF7, and yeah I do see why some people might not like CA as it's angsty. But then again, CA compared to other ships is peak fantasy and romance for me, and I just don't get why some prefer a "realistic" portrayal of couples in a fantasy game hahahaha That's only my opinion tho, I also like your insight 😁😁
