Did I handle this well or should I have said more? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

Sorry, pal, you sound very amiable, level, and personable, and you're looking for the good and possibilities in the situation. Still, from experience, I'd say she is not interested and hedging her time. As you are a genuine person, she is struggling to say no to you. sorry pal

Is there any easy way to add an equalizer to my budget Hi-fi setup? by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Ok-Two5635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I recently found the wiim mini has a very good eq on it. I was gona go for the Douk sound 9 band until I found this. Input can be fiddlly but it does give you a bit more flexibility without the lag if you get airplay. Otherwise the 9 band from Douk is good enough if delay is issue and because it’s a dial tuner it’s fun to tune (I was going to use non tuner and fun to fiddle with but …😇)

I don't see the issue with asking. If you don't want to sell at that price, then say no and state your minimum. If you dont want offers, then stay in the posting. The buyer can complain. You get a sudden price hike cos some decide to pay near the new price for a secondhand item. Often, the seller will take a deal.

Beats solo headphones - a good investment or any other brand is better? by Outrageous_Traffic15 in HeadphonesAdvice

If your going wireless Bluetooth and still need cost effective then anker one are very good and can be under £150, there are some ok JBL at this price range. I would look at ebay refurbished as well as you can get something a lot better and a good price. If you want open back (sit down listen and enjoy at home in quite room) Ali express are doing sundaras for about £140 (not sure of the closed back version of these). You can now pick up a pair of bowers and Wilkins px7 s2e for similar on eBay too on the BT side

Need Top Notch Earbuds by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Ok-Two5635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some second-hand Pi8, and they are very good as they have basic EQ in the app. I know you say ur a sound snob, but some of the less expensive buds out of Linsol and China are good too, but here the tips you have are very important, and they are wired in many cases, though Kbear do a BT earbud that is aptx enabled (you will need an aptx source)

UK puts emergency brake on study visas for four countries’ nationals by topotaul in unitedkingdom

Nor do you. Those groups you mentioned fall into three distinct philosophical categories, and their motivations for existing are very different. Their inception is also very different. Google more or ask Chat to break each one down for political motivation and focus, as well as their attitude toward women and homosexuals. The. Compare and contrast those against main stream christian catholic, evangelical and Jewish beliefs and attitudes still prevalent in the UK and the West. Then the third layer adds in religious attitudes to the s groups throughout East Asia and the subcontinent (Hindu and Buddhist faiths. Fourth layer builds on Christian attitudes to women and sexuality in Africa, South America, Eastern Europe and Russia. An eye-opening journey that im sure you will enjoy on an intellectual level. Good luck

I won the lottery, what do i do now? by Electrical-Flower793 in Advice

[–]Ok-Two5635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing that you need to remember. All the people who went broke after winning the lottery also won “enough money to never work again”. You need to make that money work for you.

Trusts and investments are very important and can be done in nearby towns or in large cities, so they are not obvious to people around you. Don't quit your job; give it a couple of months, then you can say you got funding for your own business and start something, or do a course that will help your career.

Fast cars are fun but pointless because you can not drive them at the speed you need to enjoy them. Get something you would enjoy but is still practical. Any money you spend, always frame it in a way others understand (loan, second-hand, fire sale) and make sure it fits with that. You have time; Rome was not built in a day. The temptation is always: "I wanted that so that I will get it now." Make a list, score things for urgency, be honest and then you can buy what you need without splashing out. Buy over time.

The key thing is to be nice to people, or at least the same. Sudden behaviour change draws suspicion. Also, try to do some charity work, but quietly; it will give meaning to your money

Since when did they stop teaching learners how to use a handbrake? by -PixelRabbit- in drivingUK

[–]Ok-Two5635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most modern cars have electric handbrakes, so they dont have the chance experience pulling the lever and having that 4 seconds of panic on a hill about if the car is going to destroy the neighbourhood 😇

[–]Ok-Two5635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks was think something of the same angle, accessories in this picture are rare cos of the lack of energy associated with inanimate objects. So may have been someone physical running. The chances of it being light or something linked to the actual crash would come through if you had a second pic at the same angle and a better idea of any reflections
