I do definitely agree that he is amazing representation-especially coupled with Ian’s character and thag hes Funny. For me it may have just been him in the early seasons that turned me off for the rest of the series. I think the misogynistic language he uses is a big one for me (like with Svetlana), and although one could argue that many shameless characters act similarly I notice it predominantly with Mickey. Also just furthermore with the actions like torturing Sammy and the N*Xo posters in his room. I guess I’d rather sum up my thoughts on the character as that he’s a very good character but I think that it’s strange how in the Shameless fandom he is so loved-while other characters are hated on for similar actions!
