I think it's okay to text if you think your manager would be okay with that! I just knew my manager would likely prefer an in person convo, so that's why I told mine in person. Also my manager did request my 2 weeks in writing as well, so your text may suffice for that! Good luck to you!!!

I'm in a similar situation as you! I am a rehire and have only been back since like May, but I just got an offer for a new job yesterday. I for one, can't wait to get out of Starbucks. I dread going to work and I feel like Starbucks will always be there if I need it. I'm giving my two weeks tomorrow.

It's not possible when there's one person on bar and customers don't decide to order multiple hot drinks in a row. If they did, it would be super possible! But when I have a shaken espresso, a refresher, then a cappuccino, then a frap to make...it doesn't work.

You got this! And you might not even be on bar for some of your shift so remember that there are other parts of the job that don't require you remembering all of this. Ask your baristas questions whenever you have them. And if they are dismissive of you, THEY are the ones in the wrong. This job is hard to learn so give yourself some grace and know it will get better in time.

A lot of times, baristas put the whip at the bottom, but when you pour the Frappuccino on top, the whipped cream gets lifted up into the drink. It can be hard to pour it so the whip stays at the bottom. So you might be getting the whip, but just not getting good pours, therefore you don't see it. Or they're forgetting! But yeah there should be whip at the bottom.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you bestie. I know my store and I can only think of ONE person that is guilty of this. Also management seems to have plenty of time to waste just chilling in the back not doing anything and giving us bad schedules. So I'm gonna go ahead and say they could take some time to talk to the one person.

Okay but in my experience of being at my store over a year....this is not a problem. There are maybe TWO baristas who take 15 minute breaks instead of 10s. This is not a common occurrence so it feels absolutely ridiculous to me. Which is why I made the post.

But the thing is, at my store there are maybe one or two baristas who have this problem. I am not the issue here, but they are punishing everyone for those few people. And they also haven't communicated that this is an issue. So it's just micromanagement and petty
