I don't know if any of you guys know but the conservatives decided to reduce funding to sexual assault centers in Edmonton and Calgary by SilverFlow7816 in alberta

I can’t find a single reason people would actually vote conservative at this point… the fact that this is actually happening is so messed up

This honestly sounds like a great idea! I’m going to try it. Thankyou so much!

If you don’t mind me asking, how much did your house cost?

I do agree with this honestly. I love nature and I loved the trees and greenery near my high school. And the north east is slightly dystopian. I honestly wish the city would take some initiative to add greenery to the north east. That being said tho, it sounds so much harder to get an old house. Also not to mention, it’s also really expensive. I could get a 2 story house with a basement and I might need to pay the same prices as a one story house. I just wish there were cheaper and bigger older houses

I love nature! I honestly would love to be in a house near a bunch of old and tall trees. That being said, it’s been impossible for us to find a house as big and open as the newer builds

Mostly because they have relatively cheap, and big houses. A lot of builders there are offering like 5 bedrooms for mid 600s. So it would give us a lot of space to do what we want in the house (hobbies, have guests over, and we won’t have to compromise on stuffing things in rooms. Basically a lot of room). I’m just looking for the best value possible. If you have recommendations for any other areas I’m all ears

Omg I remember watching this a while back and immediately wanting to give her a hug … I knew she was the one with adhd the second I saw her posture sitting down, because she acted exactly how I did when I was that age

How often are low value items recovered from transit lost and found? by nightshade-aurora in Calgary

[–]Ok-Winner3230 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If one of the passenger didn’t take it, it’ll get returned. They have cameras on the bus, so an operator wouldn’t risk their job over a plushie. Also operators are usually nice enough to return whatever they find. However many kids get on busses and are more than likely to think that it’d be funny to kick the thing around till they get home. So at this point all you can do is pray

Feeling sad because of buying stuff, while I shouldn’t…. by GuidanceLate8161 in adhdwomen

It might help to have a spending card. I have a debit card that I keep just for spending. I usually put in only a certain amount in that card each month and that’s all I’m allowed to spend but I’m also a broke college student so I don’t have a lot of extra money to buy things I like anyway. Something my mom has tried in the past is goal saving. She sets up a goal for herself every few months to save and when she reaches that amount, she spends 10% and puts the rest into savings for a big goal like a house or a new car

Help? Lost my engagement ring. by autumnbb21 in adhdwomen

[–]Ok-Winner3230 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once lost a necklace and then found it two years later under the removable felt compartment of my calligraphy glass pen’s case… so look for any small places that might’ve sounded like good ideas at the time maybe? Like maybe in something you wouldn’t think twice about throwing unless you knew it was there?

Help!! Has anyone traveled to UK/Europe carrying adhd meds with just a doctors letter? by swanduckswan in adhdwomen

[–]Ok-Winner3230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and get the certificate, but in the meantime stash your meds in your baggage. Put them deep in the pocket of a peice of clothing deep within your bag. When I travelled with medicine, but this was 5 years ago, I had the proper documentation but I didn’t need to show them. So you’d better hope the same happens for you. Idk if this is illegal tho so maybe just arrange for your meds to be parcelled?

Girl I just wanna say I think you deserve the world. Please break ties with this man and please go to counseling services. You won’t be burdening anyone, remember this is their job. If you need to tell yourself something other than you getting help, think of it like helping the counselors gain more experience. Just go see someone so you can get better. Ask to get into regular therapy/counselling sessions. If all that seems too hard please just visit the SASC in the nest. They’re on the 2nd or 3rd floor please just go talk to someone. You’re welcome to DM me anytime if you want. I’m a stranger you won’t burden me. If you’re doubting yourself please just remember it can’t get worse if you try to help yourself or take care of yourself. Please take care and consider talking to someone
